Open m_controller.ltx and set the MaxAttackDist to something under 1.0. I think that should stop their attack unless you stay right in front of them. Then run away from their aura and shoot them from distance.

RPK? There is no RPK in the game. You're searching for PKM, which is in w_pkm.ltx and has the internal name wpn_pkm.

Actually you can move and fire wth the MG42, obviously accuracy is effected by the stance as seen here

the second one is with bad posture and aim, still you can see the tight grouping {relativly speaking} that video is perfect in that it is the exact equivilent of a guy in stalker not aiming and firing while standing. The shots on target is more than enough to kill a psuado giant.

but the whole point of the mg42 {latere mg3} is that is is very light and easily moveable around a field to support the squad.

here you can see the belt links as they come out... an interesting insight into muzzle report too, if your into that kind of thing

also the MG3 is exceptionally accurate for such a high rate of fire.... which is probably one of the reasons its enjoyed such a long lasting legacy, like the bren gun.

i find it funny that some people here think you need an exo to carry and fire the pkm and mg3. LLLLLOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLL. only the minigun should require the exo suit.

i know where a few are located of each weapon but theses ones i can think of off the top of my head
MG3: loacted in a building near the tunnel entrance to the brain scorcher
PRK: NPP, the inside first train cart bast the barrcade and 1st APC (note: its usualy in bad condition)
mingun: NPP, a Military stalker has one near the first apc (warning! make sure he dosent see you ore you will have a few (100) new holes to breath out of (at best) lol)
tec 9: where you (useualy) first meet the mercs theres one in the shed under the snipers of one of the infromants merc henchmen has one
mac 10: freedom bar raids (do i need to say more?)
fn200: at the zombe factory top floor (go up the staicase insted of heading down)

i know where a s#^t load of weapons and gear are loacted (vanila and AMK) in stalker and their loactions will be loacted in my field guide

I went with the trainer idea, since it was the quickest, and didn't require editing any files. Matter of fact, I got stuck in the Red Forest right at the beginning of a blowout before, and had to use a trainer to get back to Bar. I'm amazed I didn't think to use it again XD
