You have to go beat the game on the true ending and then talk to a trader to join a faction, it's cool but the guys that follow you are so stupid, so many times I've seen most of them just standing there when I was in a serious gunfight with some mercs that were like 10 feet away. I think it might be because when you move around they just know to follow so don't react to anything else, idk maybe its something else.

I knew about that ever since FCAR 1.0 came out so no need to tell me that. And unless you didn't know freedom was joinable in the vanilla game from the start.

Yes I really REALLY wish that there was an alternate path from army base to dark vally or garbage. How hard is it to add a level changer to army base?? Just put it in the corner of army base and it'll take you to dark vally. It's ANNOYING AS HELL to have to waste time and ammo to fight all the dutiers AND risk making the loners hostile. This was a real flaw with STALKER. And the barman should've been in an all loner map. As in no dutiers. So that way it wouldn't be so difficxult to do the MQ.

So is it possible for me to add a level changer to AW??

And how do I join freedom?!?!

Atrocious I know you join them all the time so tell me your secret!!

Oh and I did the snitch quest.


He was green too and I hid until he talked on the radio. And then when it said "kill the snitch" I lobbed a grenade into the farmhouse and killed him while he was still green. Does that effect me?? Am I supposed to kill him when he's red??

GASP!!! DOUBLE POST!!! KILL HIM!!! hehe just kidding

Um im not sure bout your situation, i actually went to the army warehouses before i even got to agropom cuz i ran to save the freedom guys from the controller but even then i just told the guy up front that i got some info for his boss and when i talked to Lukash i was able to say "I want to discuss something">"I want to join Freedom!" i never actually made the choice because i didnt want to screw up my game just yet.

As for the snitch quest, yea u prolly have to kill him when he turns hostile, otherwise it would be logical that it would affect your stance with freedom, maybe it changes his community after it says kill him so when you do the freedom guys dont care.

Oh and as for the level changer between wild territory and the army warehouses, kany did put one in but it had problems because the NPCs wouldnt follow you through them and it phucked something up so it was removed, although i understand that you would spawn right in the middle of the merc camp and i wouldnt be too happy bout that. Same as when you come back from pripyat to red forest and spawn in the middle of 5 monolith guys. Not fun....

You dont HAVE to, you can prolly change your community with a simple script and i was just saying what happened to me, maybe you just didnt do a certain part or you dont have enough respect from freedom to join them. Try doing missions and getting them to green (friendly) state then asking Lukash again. As for the spawn point its not a big deal but it undermined a large feature of OL 2.2 of recruiting NPCs and because the NPCs wouldnt follow you so they took it out.

Oh and as for your rep I didnt get it down quite solid but in my experience the more missions you do to help people(steer clear of the "kill soldier/stalker" missions) the higher the rep, i had my rep down to terrible in the middle of the game, when i went into freeplay and ive done missions to get all the recipes my rep went back to excellent because of the large amount of missions being done.

And try not to kill the loners, military/bandits are a fair game and may actually boost your rep so dont lose hope, i dont think the rep effects prices, i know the rank effects the repair costs so the higher the rank the cheaper an item should be to fix.

bloody hell enough spam ppl theres like 6 new pages a day with only 1/4 of it even about the mod. On that note I'd like to say a massive thankyou to atrocious for the death .zip file for better weapons condition.

Without using FCAR how can I edit it to be freedom?? And is there any special items I get from lukash if I join freedom "offcially?

We are talking about how OL should've included an alternate passage for freedomers. Even if the NPC's didn't follow you through or you ended up in a sticky area it's still a very bad thing. I don't pick companions myself personally as they get in the way and die very quickly.

For SOME FREAKING REASON ANY YELLOW OR GREEN DOTS DIE QUICKLY WITHOUT KILLING ANYTHING AND RED DOTS SEEM TO BE MASTERS OF THE ZONE.


Even if it didn't work properly it shoud've still been added.

They did try to add a new way around the bar, but it didn't work keny/atro made a post about it a while back. apparently it caused lots of problems... why I don't know, it wasn't mentioned.
