STALKER in Virtual Reality

Good day, everyone.

New user here, third year student at university doing Computer Science and a STALKER fan. My final yera project involves adapting an FPS to use in a Virtual Reality suite using motion tracking as input.

The two key pieces I want to know are:

Can I create a single player map OR put a bot in a multiplayer one?

Can I aim in one direction and when I pull a trigger, shoot in a different one (I want to have the reticle floating depending on motion capture input)?

I just wanted to compare the possibilty compared to the Source engine, which simply doesn't look as good.

Thanks in advance,

Chilv

Maybe not a very helpfull reply, but why don't take source? It really doesn't look any worse then STALKER, but it's much more moddable (I think), and there already are some mods to, for instance, use a WiiMote for control, maybe you can use that as 'inspiration' ;).

Good luck (I don't know alot about STALKER, so I can't really anwser your questions, sorry)

Given the lack of bots etc, I think you may be right.

Ah well, I'll see what I can do.

That's very kind, thankyou! It's definitely the direction I'm headed in now.

Alright! No problem at all :D

If you need any info on HL2 I'm happy to try giving it to you, I'm not a really good coder or something, so I don't think I can help you with that ^^

Again, good luck! The project sounds awesome!
