while the armor says 100 resistance in notepad (in the unique_items.ltx) in game it means 10000% resistance.
Midnight, when ingame, what does the armor says its resistance is? Could it be that the armor has defaulted to normal exo. I downloaded the mod last night and added it in and had no problems as far as getting it to appear.

Wow, I just looked at the file and it does say 100.0. As Demoche has said that would equate to 10000% resists...Sheezzzz!
Hopefully this is a simple problem that Midnight can work out. Unfortunately without seeing the file structure he has it can be difficult to troubleshoot the problem.

In game the suit has 10000% protection, i've tried starting a new game again that doesnt help i'm still dying of rad. Should i increase the values to see if it makes any difference?

EDIT: Also when the 1.0003 patch came out i uninstalled the game, reinstalled and installed the 1.0 to 1.0003 patch, would this make any difference?

try moving your gamedata folder to your desktop, start a new game, save, then add then folder back because all the values are highest you need for regular difficulty.

it would be pointless to increase it over 10000%, i have heard of a bug that if you are suffering from radiation and you go through a load zone then you are stuck with it but i dont know if thats the case, does it decrease when you leave radioactive area and where is he suffering the radiation? (i know garbage and red forest have spots where it only takes a second and your in the red even with lots of rad resistance). If it is still saying that you have that much resistance then i think the suit must be working, what artifacts are you using?

giv_em_hell May 19th, 2007 12:32 AM

yeah if you are using artifacts, Ive found it messes with the modded suits.

Its happened to me before, the poisoning happens when you take off the suit, your radiation level immediately goes red, and your out of luck. You either keep the suit on or die.

Wow, I guess my lack of using artifacts left that little bug undiscovered in my testing. I'm using the skills mod that replaces artifacts with skills and makes artifacts only useful for money, which of course means no radioactive artifacts poisoning me.

Demoche May 20th, 2007 12:28 AM

you can always use certyain lines that decrease the time that you bleed and and suffer radiation....
radiation_restore_speed = -0.01
bleeding_restore_speed = -0.06
these are what i use for my freedom SEVA.
though from what i have seen these can have problems with artifacts.
