I have had no crashes that wasnt my own fault, messing with mods get some serious crashes sometimes and has damaged alot of my saves. But I have beat stalker like 5 times and had 4 diff, endings beginning a new game dont bother me to much. Back on topic what I said before should tell you what needs to be fixed.
@ natasha lol thats what I meant ha I just looked at mine and it has changed back to original lines. Hmmmm wonder how that happened?
yeah .. for me the game itself has been extremely stable (rock solid compared to most of newer Ubisoft & EA games). if it crashes then I know it's either my mod or i need to start a new game ... but usually it's a typo in a file or things like that.
so it did say : $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
Ok if it did this is what you need to do , wouldve said it earlier but since you didnt have many mods didnt think it mattered. Move your whole gamedata folder to your desktop, then install the patch again. The patch removed some modding features. After that put the gamedata folder back in, start it up check and hit me back.
Oh and make sure that file still says : $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
after the patch.
i noticed that their are powered down versions in the v2.0 of x-46, are you sure you didn't install one of those?
Also as far as i can tell this suit will not reduce bleed time (it just has a massive amount of resistance to all forms it seems) it will only lessen the chance.
Simple fact is, you cant get a outfit that makes you fully immune just highly resistant. If your dying with any of the armor options available then i'd suggest lowering the difficulty.

I cant repatch it, it just gives me the ol' "the game has already patched" line
I think i might reinstall and put on the 1.0001 patch instead

From reading your replies, it looks like you are trying to have an uber Armor set that you do not have to worry about dying with, a 100% Armor suit will not do this. The % is a reflection of the dmg reduction you get while wearing the armor. 100% would basically mean you can take twice the amount it would normally take to kill you (ie: 10 rounds from an AK74 as opposed to 5 rnds, depending on the distance from the shooter, same for Radiation and Anomallies)
In order for the suit to give you complete protection you would have to bump it's protection factors up to about 1000-5000%, then you could walk through everything without much fear...

None. Did you try just reinstalling the mod after patching the game? The one time I encountered something like what your going thru is on my daughters PC, after the 1.0003 patch the armor quit protecting her character. Simply reinstalling the mod fixed it. That's the only thing I can suggest. Reinstalling the mod won't remove the armor from your character if you already have it, it should just fix it's protective ability again.
