@Your first post: No, that's how Duty describes them. Duty is all about propaganda. They're not like every other country, they place a lot more emphasis on secrecy and control, much like how the USSR did. Freedom, on the other hand, prefers that everyone knows what's going on. They share information, and unlike those Duty a**holes, they don't mind if you walk onto their base.

Duty, is not at all secretive and all about propaganda. just cause they like to play military and not let you on their territory as an outsider doesn't meen they are full of secrets and power tripping. and why not use loudspeakers to recruit people? just cause freedom doesn't have them doesn't mean they wouldn't use them too.like i said, duty wants to protect inocent people.

Yeah, I guess it has more to do with how they're working with the Ukrainian government, and feeding them information directly, along with artifacts and whatnot.

They use the loudspeaker much like how the military base in the cordon uses it's.

Duty: "Protect the world from the Zone!"

Military: "We are not here to protect the Zone from you. We are here to protect you from the Zone!"

Sure, and so did Soviet Russia.
Actually, that's never the way it is. There's always more choices. ;)

OK back to the point... I think it would be cool to recruit any persons (excluding main quest specific NPC's) to join the party, but they do there own thing in combat.

And yeah, commercial media is propaganda. Anything made by people is biased, is untruthful to a point. I don't watch the news, and I don't read the newspapers, because half the stuff in there is just so that those who own the news corporation or the print can make more and more money.
