I am playing with the 2.2 mod. NOvice level. Since I found and bought the X-46 armor, and the G41 AARS, gun, I have become a God! The only thing that will harm me so far is enemy gunfire.

With the suit, there is no environmental damage at all. Anomolies, radiation, acid, nothing reduces my health.

With the G41, I kill anything I see, anywhere, any distance. It knocks the tar out of any thing it hits.

Is this right? Is the novice level doing this?

Fred.

Yep, those are like "trainer" items for getting a feel of the mod IMO. My second run through I'm not using the X-46. I decided to break down and get the G41 when it took too long to take out a swarm of zombies in the tunnel during the Psi Measurments using a scoped/silenced rapid AK. I wanted save Kruglov and it was just too hard on Master with the AK.

I first figured it would be no different than looting a GP37 in Army Warehouses before going to Yantar. Then I realized the rifles just look the same and only the cheapie 50 RU G41 is set to max accuracy and damage.

It's basically like having a light Gauss rifle with a 30 round clip, fast fire rate, and ability to be silenced. The only thing missing is being able to go scopeless for short range battles like swarms of mutants.

I picked up both right at the start from Sid on my first run though. At first I thought what a bargain and after seeing mostly high prices and being the type that doesn't like to have to scrounge for things to sell, I figured it might come in handy.

I was also thinking there might be a lot of deadly situations that lie ahead making the X-46 necessary so I was delighted at first to see the high protection stats and even 320kg weight limit and run capability. God indeed I thought as well.

I didn't realize until the electro tunnel in Agro Underground that the thing makes you invulnerable to anomalies. It's kinda weird how you can get caught in a vortex too and only feel the need to try and break free. You can actually purpopsely jump into one and lure mutants to their death, bloody bits flying all around you.

When I realized mutants swarming you can't even harm you I thought the God thing was getting old. Thus far on my 2nd run (about to escape Brain Scorcher) I have had no problems without the X-46. The mutants being more numerous and resilient in this mod do make the G41 nice to have though.

I have also saved all my artifacts to use as weapons for what lies ahead. If you think the ending is easy due to the X-46 and G41 making things seem that way, wait untill you see what's in Sarcophagus if you've not ventured that far and imagine what it would be like without the X-46 even WITH the G41.

I want to go back and try one more run without the X-46 OR the G41, though a few save load and level load crashes this time through that I didn't have the first run are making me a bit apprehensive. I want to try UHSF next, but some say it has some crashing problems too.
