MP - does it exist?

Been trying to find an online game but all I can find is 1 year old posts that say it sux. Is there an online community for SOC? If not, why did it die?

lol it died a LONG time ago because it would lag the game lag not you you would shoot then like 3 seconds later he fires it was weak trust me it could have been good but naw

IMO it's fun.
I live in Australia, and can't find any servers though.

So I usually make a server, and my friend joins and it's just us to.
He max hits 50 ping at the most.
MP is good now since they've patched it.
Jsut nee more Aussies servers

The mutiplayer sucks, there's was like 3 active servers with a maxium of 5 to 8 players playing.

We're discussed this topic on the STEAM - Stalker forums as well...
Round up some people online, either by these forums or other means. Find out who is close to you so you all can avoid having a laggy game. Then figure out who has a good enough machine to either host a game, or setup a machine as a dedicated server from which to launch your MP game. Then IM the players or whatever and have them join in.
