Ruddy hell! As soon as I got off this forum and loaded the game, everything changed back to Russian.
So I still need help in changing it to English. Please?

I did a forum search and found something about the Config Text.
It didn't work.
I removed all the files except English. But It's still Russian.

An example of the dialogue is Lebedev's first speech to me is in English Audio, but the text is: "mar_csky_leader_intro_dialog_1"
I cant choose an option with this stuff.
How does anybody get by.

I take it you're using a downloaded version of the game? If you are, then unpacking the gamedata will replace all the English items, weapons, NPCs, etc with whatever they are in Russian.

I've never played with the CS files, so beyond that I can't really help you, sorry.

You need to change the loacalization file to eng from rus in gamedata/configs/loacalization.

No, It is an Australian version disc. 1.0.01
That is patched from an American mirror to 1.5.09.

I have read that the 09 version has problems.
Maybe that's what it is.

Okay, I'm getting frustrated!
A clean install of Clear Skies v1.5.01, add the unpacker as Jarvis advised and unpack stuff. No Change.
Manually make a Gamedata folder and put the unpacked files in it and the game writing is "mar_csky_leader_intro_dialog_1" ... or whoever I'm talking to.
Take out all the files and the game is okay.
Put Only the config folder in and the same problem occurs.
I used various updates and they all use Russian writing! Even though they came from the American Mirror. I took out all the files except English, and the Russian language is still used. Makes me wonder why there are language files in there when it doesn't use them. And localisation folder only contains xenglish.db.
Come on people! Wrack your brains for a fix! Please!

I finally understood what I had to do!
It is now English, but everytime It tries to load the new game, it CTD.

Wrong place

Notepad isn't allowing me to save after I change false --> true
It says that it cannot create the file and that I should check the file or path.
Any suggestions This is my first time trying a mod on any computer game
