I've just finished the Zaton map part of the game, and I found in a walkthrough that I need the pda fromthe Transaction quest to start a quest in Jupiter. I waited too long and failed the Transaction quest, and I don't want to start all over again because of that.
So, is there a way to get that pda (or any other) via a mod? Like place it into the personal box in Jupiter, or a trader sells it, or just add it to the inventory/spawn it?
you will have to play the game several times in order to get all the missions anyway, the storyline will be different if you make different decissions. So it is not that big of a deal.
Editing traders would probably be the easiest way if you want to cheat that pda nonetheless. There's also a spawn mod here on filefront iirc.

Yeah, I installed the spawn mod, its great if im low on ammo (for sniper eg.), but there is a tab called info, and if i create any of that nothing happens. And i cant find a way to create the pda with the info.
Other: if i want to edit the traders (the yanov trader in jupiter is the one especially) to sell the mission pdas which files i have to modify and how? Is there a guide anywhere?
Another question: which data storage device is the exact one that is connected to that mission (Transaction in Zaton), which you have to give to Freedom/Monolith leader to trigger the Duty Warehouse quest in Jupiter? (im asking for the name the game uses in the editable files).
Walkkthrough: In order to receive this mission, you have to give away the PDA found in mission 11 (Transaction) of the Zaton sector to one of the fraction leaders in the Jupiter Stalker base (point 35 – Freedom, 34 – Duty).
Im looking for the pda mentioned here, to be sure you know what i mean.

i'm not sure which pda you mean exactly, since i have no idea what walkthrough you are refering to.
Is the mission you failed the one at the Forestry (north of the bridge)? If so, the pda should be called
device_pda_zat_b5_dealer
I haven't looked at the spawn mod, but my guess is it contains the files ui_si.script or spawn_items.script (or both) in gamedata\scripts\. If that's the case, open them (with notepad) and add
"device_pda_zat_b5_dealer",
to the "local info_table" part of those files and you should be able to spawn it with the mod.

Hope it helps to identify the PDA. The solution you mentioned, i can only try it on Friday because im at school and i cant play till im at home.
I also have the mod that enables to buy the 3rd toolkit. I managed to edit that to be able to buy all 3 toolkits and all artifacts from Owl (trader on the ship Skadovsk in Zantar), but i couldnt modify it to buy quest items (PDAs). Any idea to edit traders?
ok, that's where you get the pda i mentioned, so we meant the same mission.
You probably edit the traders right, but since pdas are quest items, you need to edit some more.
Go to gamedata\configs\misc\quest_items.ltx and open it, search for the device_pda_zat_b5_dealer section and change
"can_trade" to true and "quest_item" to false. That should do the trick.
I did change this can trade/quest item parameter of all zantar quest items in the toolkit mod and it works for all 3 toolkits, but not for the PDAs. I edited the traders too,but no success. I will try to edit the spawn mod. If it fails I'll somehow post the mod files to find out the problem.
I'm trying to edit this mod: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Buy_Toolkit_3;109567
I'm using the files inside this mod, I didnt modify anithing else. It contains the general trader files, the trader file of owl and the yanov barman (only editing owl worked so far) and the quest items file. Is there any other file I need to edit?
OK, a spawn mod solved my problem.
