| Hi! In the sig550.ltx I found a unique weapon's description, which apparently is not placed in the game. I'd like to add it as a quest reward, ti be more precise, when you say no at the end of the evacuation mission (when you say no for leaving the zone), the weapon would be placed into your inventory. Can someone point me which files I should alter? I thought it would be the dialogs_pripyat.script, but it wasn't...:s So, any luck? |

| The "Luckygun" is Strelok's lucky Sig550. It can be obtained during the game if you find all 3 stashes of Strelok's group. You can get the locations ingame by investigating a UAV crash site directly over the Kopachi village in the 2nd location (A quest will be triggered once you search the UAV). The order in which you find the stashes doesn't matter, because the gun is scripted to appear when the last stash is searched. In the first stash you will find some medkits and a note, in the second... Uhhhh... I don't quite remember, but you also get a note in that, and in the third, you will get a note and the lucky 550. You can either sell the notes to Sych or give them to Strelok later in the game and unlock an achievement. The lucky 550 is different from the regular 550 in two ways: 1. The damage is higher (By 3 or 4 sticks I believe). 2. You can attach a scope and silencer to it. When fully upgraded, it's probably the best assault rifle in the game. |

| Wow, I didn't know that. I thought those notes are only for deeper immersion of the story. Thanks for sharing it. |

personally i stick with the unique Vintorez sniper for long range, its quiet so you can sneak up on unsuspecting bandits and monsters. auto with 10 rounds. and correct me if i am wrong but it does more damage then the SVU-AS which is also silent but not auto. for mid-close range i use the LR-300 modded for RPM and recoil, yes its lower damage can sometimes be a pain to deal with, but the fact that it shoots faster and has almost no recoil is a huge plus which i think makes it better then the lucky sig550. |
