Any mods to make the game not suck?

I just got this game and I already hate it. I've gotten to the fishing hamlet where you have to defend from renegade or bandits or whatever they call themselves(They are all dressed like bandits from SoC) and I must say, this game is a huuuge let down. I'm saddened more then I am angered. I could list the reasons I'm annoyed but I'm assumeing I'm not the only one disappointed.

So my question is this, are there any mods that will make the game better. Something along the lines of L.U.R.K. or SMP like there is for SoC.

Also this may be the wrong place to ask but does anyone know if CoP is better then Clear Sky? Should I even waste the money?

On this point, I would say that there's going to be some mods sooner or later that will add maps from COP into SOC, like the Oblivion Lost 3.0, possibly. My own opinion is that SOC is the best game still, so far. Clear Sky is slightly better than COP. It looks like COP was released too quickly, seems empty but it gets points for being bug free. That's my opinion and others will disagree so it depends on what you want from the game. I don't think there has been any major mods made for Clear Sky, maybe some weapon accuracy mods if you want them on stalker file front.

That sucks. It seems like the didn't take the time to polish the weapons system and such. It's a shame but I guess sequals will always be worse then the original. Any chance the game gets better after the swamps? If not I guess I'll just go play priboi story. and skip CoP

ok, my opinion on your attitude: this game is meant to be hard and only ONLY if youve completed the SoC on hard can you find it easy on, well, EASY, it's made to be a hard game, that gives it more realism, and if you don't dig that, youll always hate the game, it's kinda bringin the spirit of the Red Army of Russia to the game... it's meant to be hard and if you can't handle that, well, sorry but no mod is gonna help unless it includes removing all enemies from the game and giving you some sort of super weapon with infinite ammo, your just not going to enjoy it, same goes for CoP,(probably)
