Why in the name of all that is holy-ish...

...did they remove the ability to hide the HUD in some patch at some point? I think it might have been 1.5.03 or 04, but prior to that the numpad + and - would remove the HUD as it is ShoC. No more. So what have I been doing for the past 3 hours? Searching for alternative ways, which lead me nowhere until I decided that the only method was to mod it in. First I try making the main UI DD files completely transparent, which didn't work because things like the minimap aren't in there. Then I tried moving all UI elements 10000 pixels away from the screen via config XMLs, which didn't work because yet again the minimap wasn't included. Now I'm fed up and don't care anymore (lie). Thank you GSC I will never take a screenshot sans HUD unless I reinstall and don't patch.

How's that for a rant? Seriously, though... why? In what way was this feature something that needed to be "fixed" in a patch?

You can patch it to 1.503. You can use the numpad to remove the indicators, etc. But if you patch it to 1.504... well... big mistake. Trust me man, use the 1.503
