So, lemme get this straight. The video at the end is where strelok was 'programmed' to kill himself? This was the first time he got to the centre of the zone (where he got the pictures he showed Doctor in ShOC) before loosing his memory and being sent out on a death truck?

I thought that the brain scorcher was what was responsible for programming STALKERs to do monolith tasks?

and he has your pda with "kill strelok" on it
next he is dumped in the "death trucks"
and the story for SOC is next.

not a bad ending really..
but could have used a lot more work after getting across the bridge
on gameplay and story line

PUTTING THE 2 TOGEATHER ) rolling around in SOC at all the vid scean regarding his memory.

1 film shot of him at the outside furnace 4, open fireing on mutants,

a film shot of him returning with a artifact,

a flim shot of him at the wish master,

a film shot of him with radation poisioning ( 100 billion rads a minute will make your body fall apart in 4 hours via bio-bots of Chernobylon youtube ) and Doc helping him, including his determanation back to the north. so it was not the first time he made it there via photo

a faded view, but voices, fang telling another to leave Strelok behind..

if you have the sleep mod that put the original sleeping bag and dream in the SOC game, strelok has a dream of the blow out..

according to the sequence Strelok discovers a articfact close to the north, possably chasing the every stalker dream...and for the wish master...

on his way to the facility a bad event happend, apearently he made it to the wish master, what could have happend is unknown but he came back with serious radition poising, a blow out could have happend and cought him. would explain why fang wanted to leave him..

after he is healed he returns to the north with a serious mission..as you recall doc set him up with a decoder to get to the control room, and stated Strelok was right about the wish master, again the terriable event in wich he came back with radition poising..

CS your the Merc in serch for Fang, it has already going around a stalker has made it through and is going to do it again, Fang may be responsible for aiding..

twords the end you find out you need to stop Strelok, you never was given and order to kill him, your given a order to just stop him. your given a gun to break his psy-emmission protection.

At the end you find yourselves being re-program with others to go out and conduct speacle taskes..( creapy ending )

In SOC the hallogram tells Strelok he was assighned to kill himself by mistake.

the death trucks are sopose to transport them out for drop off but he servived the crash, that would mean the real bodies are a cover ( makes sense ) see death truck on its side in feild in coradon SOC...

according to the story the monolith are waiting for you cause you have made it there before..

the monolith is defently part of the zone as a leathal security force..

whats not clear is the project really conducted by human scientest or alien, cause no one knows what is going on at the facility, not even the military...

Yeah I agree, Limansk was a real nice city, very COD4 ish, but it was too linear. Only one way through the entire town? Even the construction site wasn't too difficult. I had ~100 grenades for the bulldog 6, so I rained down hell on them

Well the monolith are sort of zombified stalker programmed and controlled by C Conciousness, 7 people's minds tied together to create a sort of supreme being, that is able to adjust the Norsphere. So I think it's all manmade. But how the humans discovered the technology, and where the wishgranter came from (both likely alien), is unclear - and it's nice that way, keeps your imagination up

But what you've said there, I agree with fully. It's pretty much how I understood the game. It seems to be very consistent and ties in with the story of ShoC very well.

But what happens to the CS faction? Were they all killed at NPP, and hence were never heard from again? It would account for why they weren't in ShOC (although the real reason is because CS is a prequel, the second story was made first...).

What do you mean by a cover? The death trucks are responsible for transporting marked ones from the monolith to their targets right?

yeah, makes alot of sense, after all they said they marked their agents, and when that one guy said he is alive one and bears the mark, this statment shows Strelok was not the first to come through and Sid's reaction shows they already have a real good ideal were he comes from. so in short they are taking advantage of his memory loss to do there own investagation to the north..

if its man made according to them then the only thing I can come up with the alien tech was reversed engineered, in the one lab they have beings that do not appear to be mutants in chamber but looks like baby aliens or just alien, after all my understanding Russa has its own area 51 thing going too...

the leader or clear sky (i forgot his name, he can be mr L) was part of the monolith who was reprogrammed to start a faction (clear sky) or maybe he wasnt even programmed to? Because Strelok made it to the centre pre clear sky, its a possibilty?
why is clear sky base hidden?
so if he is part of monolith Scar comes along, now we get into clear sky. straight away, Mr L sends scar to kill the person who made it to the centre of the zone (strelok) i think anyways, maybe not right away.
when Scar eventually makes it to the centre Mr L drags the whole clear sky faction into the centre and they all end up getting brainwashed.

so Scar stops strelok and blah blah the emission they are all in the corridor.
but i dont recall seeing any clear sky members in there? all part of the monolith prehaps?
i get the idea of mr L being monolith because of the hologram at the end of Shadows, it looks like him sounds and talks liek him a bit, i think anyway.

Didnt fang ditch strelok too? i also noticed, Strelok has scars on his face, maybe for revenge, he killed fang?

so thats my theroy though. maybe thats why Scar got the Gauss rifle aswell, a way to 'give' it to the monolith.

What mutant thing?? Are you referring to speculation or is it actually in-game?? If it was in-game then I have no clue what you're talking about. I never saw any mutant things in tubes inside the labs (And I've been there plenty of times)

It's all good speculation. We've already had this discussion in another thread a long time ago.

And if you pay close attention to the end movie you don't see any clear sky members, some dutiers, freedomers, a merc, and an ecologist. Those were the only people I recall in the corridor. I didn't see any blue uniforms.

And remember the monolith was shooting at the clear sky members so there may be a chance that clear sky was actually a real faction just trying to stop strelok and had nothing to do with the c-con.
