But still......I'm kinda appaled that GSC is only listening to it's Russian (Ukrainian) customers and not it's majority of Europian and American customers.

i think i will totally past on this game.. 14 out 15 posts say its buggy and a let down and more like a cheap poor stalker soc mod game. and say vista dx10 is more hard on your system than crysis.. and you have the 1 out of 15 posts that say his game is perfect i wonder how truthful that 1 person is.

and i read its been like 3 or 4 patches in russia not 2 and its still a mess.. gees a patch the day after europe bought it had some 60 fixes or changes what ever.. i dont know any 1 who is going to buy this..most people i know that own stalker soc never finished 1 game.. most never played more then a hour or 2 when it first came out and gave up on it..the only folks i know that might buy it is because they buy and collect all games that come out and put them on a shelf some place..

and i would not wait on sdk's or free play or cut out stuff either..remeber all of the lies and promises of stalker soc. and then said clear sky will be what we could not do with stalker and will be better and better quality.. it was all a con to sucker folks 2x ha ha.. i hope clear sky cost more then stalker did..that would make the joke even better.. or if gsc says tomorrow they are working on stalker 3.. i will just fall out in the floor and die laughing..

well. i knew clear sky would be more of the same hype and inconsistent incompetent junk..ha ha i just love it ha ha

"According to Don Reba, the head moderator on GSC's forums who has contacts inside the company, the project manager was recently fired for allowing the game to be released with so many bugs."

I guess there is hope for Stalker 2 after all. CS is Stalker 0.2 to be technical. After the mods it should be up to Stalker 0.5, while SOC is 1.0 (with mods is 1.5). Stalker 2 will be something new, shiny, and hopefully worth waiting for. But I expect that Fallout 3 will live up to expectations, and if it is on a similar production timeline, could pose problems for the Stalker franchise in the future.

On a side note, I have located at least nine separate stores in NA that are oblivious to the supposed recall. They know nothing of it, and have never been notified or asked to send their copies back. In fact three are selling the game right now in the U.S. (and no I cannot disclose their location - sorry). It is amazing that it was recalled, yet no one was notified or returned their copies. I wonder how they are going to get new CD keys? Maybe the recall was recalled?

I hate to say it, but reading all the complaints -- I'd have to agree.. And I'm glad our message is, seemingly, being heard. Perhaps the game will finally be somewhat stable before the NA release.. I know 1.5.04 is for me, but God help them if it isnt

same for me too...i just ran home on lunch..installed 1.5.04...restarted the game and i had a BSOD at the very first guide..this game is starting to beat me i think...might just uninstall and play SOC with OL2.2 until some more patches come out!!!

I'm glad to see the company doing something about the staff letting the game be released in such a state, but I feel it's too late.
