Multiplayer stopped working
 

AAARRRGGGGH !

My multiplayer mode has suddenly stopped working. When I click on the MP icon in my desktop I get to the grey screen and then nothing. Single player works but when I try to change to MP from the single player menu I get to the grey screen again and then it hangs. I have also tried executing from the CD-ROM but the same problem, grey screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times and also used the repair function on the uninstaller with no sucess. Program was working fine two days ago and then stopped working for no apparent reason. There are no error messages and I usually end up having to reboot the machine.

I have not made any hardware or software changes to the machine. Anybody have any suggestions ?

Machine is Pentium 3,
Intel 600 MHz processor
Onboard video card
384 MB RAM
40 GB hard disk :confused:

My first guess is that you changed something in the game. Like screen size or hunkmegs. If not, then when you uninstall, delete the folder as well. Or you could delete the wolfconfig_mp.cfg file and start the game. Just guessing.

Thanks. This was really strange but after three days of not functioning multiplayer just started working. I made no changes I just ended up reinstalling the program a further four times and then it started working.
