Computer problem My roomie had a computer that would shut down for no reason. During game play online and downloads. Later we found out that the CPU was getting extremely hot. Finally the problem ruined his motherboard and CPU. If that compuer is fresh out of the box, send it back and get another one. There is nothing you can do except getting a new motherboard and CPU...which would be ridiculuos if you got the warranty on your new PC. Your power supply could be over heating also. The power supplies that come in new PC's are usually pretty weak. You have a top of the line stock PC, then it may be possible that the power supply cant handle larger programs that use a lot of memory suck as high end gaming. If the power supply is the problem, its an easy fix and fairly reasonably priced. I just bought a 400 watt ATX power supply because I play games and use my computer a lot. My previous 250 watt supplies fan broke on it. It can increase performance by supplying enough power to all components and not maxing itself out. Take that thing back anyway!!!! |
