how do i get to sub??

in area where intro video clip of nazis entering sub, went down elevator, cleared area up to a bridge that needs to be lowered in order to continue game, there is a locked control panel and door near a crane carrying a box and another room where electric robot things were kept there is another locked door, can someone tell me how to get into the control panel or locked doors?? been stuck there a week. thx rb
