Default Realism Mod Please!

If realism was introduced into the game, it would make for more interesting gameplay. A lot more harder of course but more competitive. When playing with realism now, its not the player with the fastest reactions or the guy that can aim well its the smartest. Imagine when you run out of ammo being just as deadly than a guy with a submachine gun! Somebody should get permission to edit shrub mod and rework the damages to include all 9mm caliber killing within 3 shots. All 45 caliber should kill in 2 shots. The mauser accuracy should be increased to be used unscoped, and have the same damage values. I dont have any suggestions about grenade blast radius. The Mg42 should kill in one shot! Now you have to be real smart to kill a guy using the mg42 on beach!

Gibbing and Knife: 2-3 shots with 9mm,45cal to kill someone. One - two additional shots would be only needed to gib someone. Knife should be one shot kill in back, and like 2-3 anywhere else.

The venom saddens me because I know that the caliber is 12.7mm (found that out in single player. Thats .50cal!!! I dont think someone in real life would live after getting shot by a venom burst. I have waited for years for a mod like this, I'd send someone $200 bucks to do it. It would certainly make for more interesting gameplay! What do you guys think?

rtcw - you can catch me under the name Lost Soul. I can be found periodically on the server All tram all the time.
Final Fantasy - tarutaruofdeath level60 Blm. Garuda

- Never underestimate the Sten in close quarters!

what yall dont get is - rtcw is an arcade game NOT A SIMULATION as in a race car game - arcade games are suppose to be like this (these games are arcaded based - same thing as battlefield 1942!)

im tired of hearing people complaining that activison did such a terrible job with the realism - if u want a simulation go play microsoft flight simulater or make a mod for the game.

Go play counter-strike for realism. You get shot a few times, you die, and you're out till the start of another game. Thats annoying, especially to those who are just starting on it, because you spend more time watching than you do actually playing. They go for the realism, RTCW is fine as it is.

I certainly agree with you guys rtcw is the greatest game, because of the team aspect. Yes, it is great but it could be better. Thanks to all who replied, I certainly now have a better Idea of what everyone else thinks. If I was a programmer, I'd certainly do the mod myself. But im just a high school kid (12th Grade) who knows nothing about
programming. I still think that the mod should be made, but it should be kept server side and whoever wants to try it out could play it.
Well anyways guys thanks for the input. If you guys would like to discuss it with me and see me in a room please feel free to talk to me about it. Even if its rants and raves, or something positive. I certainly wouldnt get mad about it. Here are my aliases:

Luger9mm (in all red or blue)
Pimp (all blue)
One isnt forum appropriate but I hardly use it.
I mostly play as medic or sniper.
You can find me on eastern cost servers because I'm on the eastern coast (LoL)

Could make for an interesting mod, Luger9mm. I played the new "WildWest" mod or game or whatever you want to call it a few weeks ago. One thing that was really different was the fact that when your health was down, you slowed down...couldn't run or move as fast. Interesting idea that definitely would take some getting used to...may also increase the screams for MEDIC...

Stupidity got us into this mess, why can't it get us out?

shrod, man u smokin crack or somethin, comparing RTCW to an arcade game is like comparing a toy car to a monster truck. Alot of ppl want a realism mod, but it will not happen for 2 reasons, one: RTCW is very unrealistic in its ways, and some of those things make it the game it is and make its fun lvl as high as possible (if u want realistic then u will make it so if u die once then u dont "respawn" ) and also two: most RTCW mods are canceled or postponed for the Nov. 12 release of RTCW:ET (the stand alone sequil to RTCW). Like the idea, but it will not happen in RTCW, and also.....wrong forum buddy, mod thread=mod forum

Korn there are two types of games in the world: Arcade and Simulations.

It doesn't mean that you can go to your local arcade, put in two quarters and start to play beach against a group of AI's on your team.

A simulation such as Flight Simulator or even Gran Turismo (In Simulation mode) is a game that is AS CLOSE TO THE REAL THING as it comes. RTCW in the least bit isn't even close to that status.
The way Activison meant to make RTCW was to be an "Arcade" like style instead of a "Simulation" style. If it was meant to be a "Simulation" Activision would of made the game "more" realistic.
So, as there are only "two" types of games - "Arcade" is closest to RTCW's likings.

And korn I challenge you to your comment. You say: "RTCW is very unrealistic in its ways, and some of those things make it the game it is and make its fun lvl as high as possible" - You just pretty much said in your own rules that it is an arcade based game. No where in that comment did you say how "real" it is, but how "unrealistic" it is. And no I'm not smoking crack. I get pissed when people don't understand the difference betweem the two "types" of games. Every game on FN is an arcade based game. The closest game I could find that might be a "simulation" is America's Army. In which I do agree it has a taste of both styles. And FN will soon expect the new "Sim City" in which, of course, is a simulation.
And I have NO problem at all about trying to make it MORE realistic such as "life" restrictions, but don't go around making one shot kill you and other crap like that. It's taking "the fun" out of the game - "A more of an arcade game as I said before". And if you still don't believe give Activision an E-mail or two on what they intended the game to be like - An arcade or simulation. Also, if you'd like their phone number let me know and I'll get it to you and then you can ask a customer service rep by mouth.
Don't start thinking I'm smoking crack - because I've done my homework and I am very interesting on the "aspect" and "styles" of games. I try to sit down and analysis EACH AND EVERY GAME I like to play. It isn't that hard to figure out if the game is more an "arcade or simulation" based game.
Any more comments is welcomed but PLEASE don't think that RTCW was meant as a simulation - BECAUSE I PROMISE the military isn't training their guys on mp_beach.
But I'm listening to your comments
