I recommend avoiding any clan that plays Shrub/Vanilla/Bani Mod Servers! www.planet-rtcw.com has a clan list of clans that are very active in the current leagues and tournys. I recommend checking out that list which will give you a website, e-mail, etc so you can contact them. Most of them are recruiting and I'm sure would be willing to give you a shot. Either that or jump on some of the good OSP servers like Locked Box, Chaos Battle Grounds...etc and show off your skillz. GL Finding a clan!

LOL! Don't laugh. I jumped from Demo straight to OSP. Look where I'm at. :P I just don't recommend people starting on Full version on a Shrub Server, because they may forget about anything else.

I guess... I started on first demo, wen tto Main, Shrub and then to Osp. I guess he/she will be better off bypassing shrub and going straight to Osp. It all depends on what they are looking for in the RTCW experience..... Whatever you're destined to do, best of luck !
