WolfUmbra September 2nd, 2002 07:45 AM

well, well, so much difference in ages, just like life...

derFuhrer September 10th, 2002 09:53 PM

Wow! Is this post still alive after 3 some months? I've been away for that long, just came back a couple weeks ago, missed alot I think.

Anyways I'm 27 here, probably right in the middle of y'all. I see RTCW attracts an older crowd than something like HL/CS and HL/DOD does (I won't get into a ranting debate on those) which averages 17 years of age!

SMooTH_OPeRaToR September 11th, 2002 01:35 AM

Hell im 2 months away from 21(god i cant wait) Im Young compared to alot of you guys and have made one to many mistakesin my life with having a record (only because of me Going to detox in jail a few times) guess you cant break the habit of boozing lol. But glad to see variety of ages killing on Wolf.... I think My first game was pitfall on atari.

Rathius September 14th, 2002 07:23 AM

KoRn_Warrior_ September 14th, 2002 06:24 PM

Rathius September 15th, 2002 04:04 PM

WSF|BobStein September 19th, 2002 01:58 AM

33 Sept.17

Just turned 33 yrs. old but feel like i'm still teenager, except in the morning, lol. The oldest in our clan is like 37 or 38 though, so that makes me feel a bit better. I'll be a gamer till i die.

Rathius September 19th, 2002 04:26 AM

*agrees*
i will prolly make my grandchildren get me a computer when im in the nursing home LOL
our clan leader is on a break from the clan so fer now its me the youngest guy in the clan
whats strange wit our clan is that the youngest guy is usually leader

WolfUmbra September 19th, 2002 02:52 PM

Happy Belated Birthday, BobStein!!

WSF|BobStein September 19th, 2002 11:17 PM

FlederMaus! October 18th, 2002 04:45 PM

I am 37 but I have years of a deprived childhood to catch up on, and at least 15 years of playing terrible games too! Now that I can afford to buy my own cools toys, it's time to have fun. I can't wait to see what gaming will bring in another 10 years.

Bizaro October 23rd, 2002 02:32 AM

There's even older ones, so glad I am not the oldest. When I was 15, the highest tech thing was Pac Man. Pretty sad!

Jeff

Kicked Axis November 4th, 2002 07:45 AM

Hi Guys,
I still have my commodore 64 and it still works!! I was the first on my block to have one and I used to run a bbs dial up so people could post messages and the like!! My parents hated that because of the phone bills!!
I let my kids try out the commodore and they think the graphics stink!! But back then that was state of the art!! I was toying with selling it but I haven't made up my mind!! I might save it for my grandkids someday so they can see the nestalgia!!!:agreed: By the way I am a 34 yo that plays way too much!!!!

Rathius November 4th, 2002 02:18 PM

welscome to old puters club
I have a working Compaq 8088 that lives on right here http://www.geocities.com/rathius12/compaq.html
1200baud modem mrock on!

Dutchman November 5th, 2002 06:29 AM

apocalypse_kid November 5th, 2002 07:59 AM

I have one of those rathius but I think mines older. Will post a pic when I get my digital camera back.

:cya: :cya:

Rathius November 5th, 2002 01:53 PM

mines hte oldest
Compaq Portable - mine, onyl wiht 2 floppy drives (on mine drive A broke so we replaced ti with the drive B. It originally didnt have a hard drive)
Compaq Portable Plus (missing the second floppy, replacing it with a 10MB HDD. Mines the original but its most similar to the Plus after various upgrades)
Compaq Portable II - 80286 twin IDE 5.25" floppies and a 10MB HDD.
Compaq Portable 286 -same as Portable 386 but with a 80286
Compaq Portable 386 -386DX20 gas plasma panasonic orange LCD screen, no expansion slots, has port at the back for an expansion box which can contain two ISA slots.
Compaq Portable III -286/386 system with gas plasma LCD display. more or less the same as P286 and P386.
Compaq Portable 486 -486 system which uses EISA slots like many of the Deskpro series. Has monochrome screen
Compaq Portable 486/66 -As above with faster 486DX2-66 processor
Compaq Portable 486/66c -Has color LCD
The Plus and II look the same as mine, like a sewing machine. the II does have horizontal drives. The 286, 386, and III look kinda liek lunchboxes with the gas plasma LCD. The 486 models look similar to the original but thsead of the screen on the bottom its on the side. it opens liek a regular laptop does today, KBRD on bottom, LCD on side, drives to the side of LCD, and the guts behind LCD

32 got 2 kids and I still play to win. Dont give it with the old fart thing cos I am normaly in the top 4 for points. No one is to old for this game, Not even to young. My son of 9 plays multiplayer(not single player). He is not very good, but he tries.

Kicked Axis November 18th, 2002 07:57 AM

Hi Wulfen,
You are like me!! I'm 34 with 3 kids and I ain't no old fart. Let these young ones bring it on!! Heck, I have been playing video games when most of them were still in diapers!! Those that know me, know that I can "frag" with the best of em!! I ain't saying I am the best mind you, but I can bring it to them when I want to!!:agreed: I could care less about points as long as my team wins!! "losers are always whining about their best, the winners go home and f@@@ the prom queen!!" (from the rock)!!
:deal:
