RTCW 2 - Speculation Continues...

Yeah. id has a reputation of taking their sweet time anyway. It's not a bad thing, though. The games are never very buggy, and always top-notch. No matter how long a game takes to make, id fans will still be waiting for it, so it's not like they're losing their fan base. If it's a good game, I don't mind waiting.

i don't mind waiting either...i just don't like the wait! i'm sure it'll be worth it though

I hope they release demos, like the "test" series, for wolf 2. Test 2 was what made me get the game, and i was happy just playing on the 3 servers that it had for a few months. Anything would be good right about now - just something new!

yes iam bowing to meka . in the hope .there will be a really updated version of the origanal RTCW...but better graphics .means nicer SS uniforms ..don,t change the game .Like ET ... i have never got into ET .. so go go go activision or id software RTCW. its the best mp game in my opion .i have cs bf1942 cod , every game you can think of being so close to bali indonesia , there cheap as chips .. hardset game ever project igi 2 1 was a great game 2 in very hard 9 months to get to second level give you an idea .Twin cd pack

Honestly, I wish they'd just use the Quake III engine for RtCW2. The atmosphere in the original was awesome, and I think they could still squeeze more life out of the aging Quake III engine. Call of Duty is evidence of that.

Quake 3 source is coming out soon, though. Wait. Scratch that. It comes out under the GPL soon. Carmack (again in his blog) mentioned that he was going to release it by the start of '05, but a company bought the source code for a few hundred thousand dollars, and Carmack thought it was "poor form" to release the game for free after such a deal. Seems we'll have to wait even longer. Well, at least us cheapskates .

If it is Splash Damage making RTCW2, I think they will make RTCW2 a great game.
