Need help with some things

ive got some questions, soo -

1. How to get console?
2. how to change fov?
3. and lastly, is there any console thing to make my FPS go up? like i have 200ping when i play :/ - ive changed the resolution and all that on option but still i have that high ping, the internet connection is fine and my pc isnt that bad

Console is CTRL+SHIFT+~
FOV is changed by typing in "g_fov" (without quotes) and then a number.
Default is 90, more is like fishbowl-lense, less is like zoom.

Getting the game to run better depends on your setup, but here's a few cvars you can try. These can be put into the console, followed lastly by the "vid_restart" command, or put into a CFG file and executed when you run the game:-
image_usecompression 1
image_usenormalcompression 2
image_useprecompressedtextures 1

Oops, I just read your questions are about online MP, and Q4. :P (not D3 SP) 99% of the info still applies though.

Getting better online performance isn't something I know much about, but any commands you're looking for start with net_ and si_.
