I want a Confederate History Month, but I want to have it focus on all of the shitty things done by the CSA and its soldiers. Y'know, talk about their primary reason for secession/treason, Nathaniel Bedford Forrest, stuff like that.

Interestingly, the only recorded large scale war crime in the Civil War was the Fort Pillow massacre - carried out against black soldiers and their families. But they're not people so they don't count!

Then afterwards the South wanted to cry because Sherman burned a bunch of their slave plantations. Oops, the slaves are freed now... looks like you're gonna have to rebuild them yourself! And... *gasp*, actually work the fields yourself, or pay people to do it! The nerve! Those bastard federalists!

Obviously the rules are different over in Russia.

There are a lot of celebrities in both the UK and the US who have avoided jail, for offences your average person would have gone 5 - 10 years for. Funny how that works, huh?
