In conventional warfare, no they can't. Remember though, conventional warfare is not the name of the game there. The center of gravity for these societies is not the state as it has been in most of the European wars, it's the people. Israel has little chance of winning over the people.



Anyway, back to Iran. If we didn't want them to have nuclear weapons, it would be more beneficial for us if we just removed their desire for them. Examine the reasons why they feel they need nuclear weapons and eliminate those reasons.

This is the same hysteria created around the Iraqi invasion. Are we really stupid enough to fall for the same trick twice? Iran followed international law to the letter and allowed their legal facility to be inspected. What exactly are we getting hysterical about here?

I don't think they would have the drive to build a nuke if Israel didn't have one in the first place.

Which technically would make them subject to IAEA laws, but Israel is in the same boat as Pakistan and Indian in terms of nuclear nations who've only been able to avoid problems because of their governments' favorable standing with the west.

And what will happen when Iran gets nukes? The same thing that happened when the USSR got nukes, China got nukes, and Pakistan and India got nukes. Nothing. Ironically, the only country that actually used their bombs was the USA.

No, they will be able to invade a country and get away with it, just like how the US would never have dared to send there own military forces into Afghanistan to fight the Russians or the Russians to send there military forces to fight the US in Vietnam.

Once, and the only reasoning behind that was because they were in a giant war. Plus they had no idea what nukes were capable of.

This is pretty certainly the fear that the U.S. government has when it comes to other countries and nuclear weapons. After all the U.S. won't be able to enforce it's own economic policies on other countries if they start becoming nuclear capable. Would Iraq have been invaded if they actually had "WMDs?" I think not.

Yes but they believed Iraq did gave WMDs, thats why they invaded no? Just because they didn't doesn't mean the US didn't think they had them.
