No but really, the only fighting that could ever break out between people under the influence is over who gets the last bag of chips, and even then, they'd probably just end up hugging.

Most of it relates to the US's federal structure. The only way for this to get going is either to have all the states enact laws decriminalizing it, or having a national law do so, and at the moment both are highly unlikely. Only California is really considering it, and that's mainly because they feel that it can open another source of tax revenue.

But like Pete said to there are some dipshits here who'll get up in storm the moment this happens. They can get together and have any of these laws repealed.
