[Controversial] FDA bans all flavored cigarettes

There getting closer to just banning them all together, I mean seriously we banned marijuana because its evil, but tobacco is different.

All this is going to do is produce another drug gangs can sell, and since there are already alot of people addicted, gang activity will increase and sky rocket, and when you have a drug dealing operation where you can make big bucks, chances are violence will be used increasing violence.

Go smoke Electronic Cigarettes, that solves everything.

Keep in mind, that the issue isn't the banning of ALL cigarretes, but merely some.
I presume by flavoured you mean stuff like menthols etc.

And while smoking is bad for you, these seems more like competition elimination than anything else.

Mhm, i can't see why it should be banned.. I mean, why? So far i know flavoured cigarettes are light, not heavy. So if the reason is health protection. O.o

About banning smoking in total. Why? If it is because 'other people are get injured 'cos you smoke' thing, then i just can tell the same about cars, airplanes,....

The banning of flavored cigarettes is supposed to stop its usage by underage and young smokers, who are thought to be the majority of users.

At least cloves smell less offensive. I do admit to liking the smell of certain pipe tobacco. Some smell more like incense than tobacco smoke.

I dont smoke and my roommate doesnt smoke. I can tell when I walk in a room if someone has even lit up a cigarette and old tobacco smoke smell is hideously disgusting and tobacco smoke does leave a film on everything.

That said as long as precautions are taken to not effect people around you I dont care what you smoke. Its your body and its yours to abuse and poison for as long as you wish til death do you part.

I do not support your coming back twenty years later and suing tobacco companies for your indiscretions.

It's also bad for your colleagues, for the people you walk past in the street while happening to have a cigarette, anybody that travels in your car if you've ever had a cigarette while driving, as well as any person who happens to enter your home (this of course, doubly includes any dependants, spouses, partners, parents, siblings, and other relatives).

You should be a lot more worried about the crap that cars and industry spew into the air we breathe, rather than a few seconds of highly dispersed second-hand smoke.

Electric cigarettes don't taste the same, nor feel the same, as real cigarettes. It's like the difference between coke and diet coke. One might be better for you than the other, but at the cost of tasting shite.

I drink Diet Coke and used to drink Coke for years.

It takes about a week for your taste buds to get acclimated to Diet Coke. An old girlfriend got me switched by drinking Diet Slice soda (similar to Sprite) and after about a week I was OK.

Now regular Coke usually tastes sweet and syrupy to me and sometimes I have a hard time telling which is which.

Ergo maybe electronic cigs are not that bad once you get used to them.

I also read something recently where the FDA said electronic cigs are not any better for you than tobacco. Something about the "smoke" they put out is still a carcinogen.

Like breathing the shit factories pump into the air and drinking water contaminated with chemicals is any better.
