There were once some pyscho christian baptist radicals protesting on my campus, all 2 of them. It got so bad, that the police had to seperate us from them, as the crowd would have none of that. One of the radical guys almost choked me, the cop actually had to pull him back, cuz he didn't like what I was saying about intelligent design. After it calmed down, the guy came up to me and said, bible raised high:
"YOU YOUNG MAN, ARE YOU A COMMUNIST!!!!"
"Actually, sir, I've a free market libertarian, idealy an anarcho-capatilist"
He then looked me up and down. Apparently, old, tattered chucks, tight girl's jeans, studded belts, black t-shirt, jewelry, black nail polish, black eyeliner, and long hair didn't fit in with his idea of a pro-capatilism person. He then said, after a pause to figure out his thoughts:
"Why you dressed up like that then?"
"Well, sir, its all part of a grand conspiricy to get into the underwear of liberals."
He paused, and looked me up and down again.
"It'll work."
XD See, he's not so crazy if he atleast has a sense of humour.

But to be specific, emo is a music and an idea, culture if you will, much like goth or punk. But the fashion is called scene. I dress scene cuz I like the look. I am emo because the idea and the music fall in tune with how I feel and act.

I sorta think this whole law is stupid. Emo is a stupid subculture, and most of the people I know who take part in it are morons and listen to really, really stupid music. At the same time, that's their choice. It should be left as such up until self-injury happens, at which point other means should be sought out to "fix" them.

Self-Immolation for a cause tends to be remembered for a very very long time. And can be the catalysator of social change in the future. (I.e. the anti-commie protests 20 years later which escalated and led to the downfall of the regime 11 months after them.)
