It contains a lot, but they're not the majority (thank goodness).

That's the thing, you never say anything. So that way you don't have to own up to anything.

Isn't it great? =p

Not too bad an idea. There's a difference between "conquering" it, like Europe did to the America's, and "loaning" it by allowing the indigenous people to continue living in peace. That's where the Greenlanders were lucky when the Vikings got to Greenland. Loads of space, so no need to commit genocide.

Forgot about all those Native American "Reservations" that dot the mid-west?

As for the Topic, the news will never show the perspective of Palestinians accurately, Israel is too involved in America's political system.

Don't fool yourself. We are finished as a nation (morally, socially and economically).

Nothing but sedated, complacent citizens shuffling around in malls and staring at the idiot box as if they were zombies. Consumerism is our god. Wal-mart is our Jesus. Ignorance is our playground.

Well it's up to people like us to break the mold then.

Israel should simply re-occupy the Gaza Strip and put an end to the fighting. The Palestinians are obviously not up to self governance. So someone needs to, like you have to do with naughty children, instill some discipline. You give people autonomy and they fuck it up. The only solution is taking away that autonomy.

Then to bring up what "Christians" have done in the past is a complete moot argument.

sarcasm?

Because Christians didn't go to war against 'heretics and blasphemers' in the name of god or anything?

BBC NEWS | Middle East | Major Israeli settlement 'unlawful'

whos defending themselves in this situation??? a LOT of Palastenian land already has ISraeli settlements built on it. And it continues every year and they build more and expan dmore into palastenian lands. If you think about it Palastenians have always been defending themselves from a beast that wont stop grabbing thier lands!! This is so bad to the point that if you REALLY REALLY look into it, Israel as a "country" doesnt have any real borders. Do you know why? More land grabbing. IT wont stop!

So in addition to being poor, being bombed to hell, being quarantined, controlled, and humiliated, theyre lands private, and not is always being built on.

And you cant defend this!! Its INTERNATIONAL law that made Israel, what it is now, and its INTERNATIONAL law that gave palastine whatever land it has left, which is from the beginning of Israel till now being encroached upon. They have no right to bomb people like that(a fucking university?) and to take thier lands!

Re: I Always bring up this same topic

Israel can hardly withdraw its claims to the lands it has taken for political reasons both internal, in that the ruling party at the time would be screwed, and externally in that they cannot let it be seen that terrorism has won. On purely pragmatic grounds even if they were prepared to make those sacrifices still they could not do it. The power structure in Palestinian lands is such that the leaders have built their power base on hatred for Israel, it is as much in their interests to keep the war going as anyone else's. So after Israel withdrew there would be further terrorist attacks, Israel would be obliged to reoccupy the land and the situation would advance as it has. It’s the reason why no cease fire is likely to hold for the foreseeable future.

The existence of either side imperils the other. Say you are trapped on an island with another man and no food, the only way either of you will get to live to be rescued is if he eats the other; who then has the right to life? This isn't a question about right and wrong. This is just a case of seeing which force is greater. Both of them are defending themselves.
