Default O'reilly? Shouldn't even been offered a job

Ok, so I sat down at my computer just surfing when I came across this Violent Video Game Debate: Bill O Reilly vs A Little Girl - Unsought Input
Apparently O'reilly spouting some garbage about how video games should be taken and replaced with bibles. So, some 7 year old actor comes along and points at everything wrong. Okay, so maybe the swearing made the whole thing a tad bit hypocritical, but she raised some decent points. So O'reilly comes along and replies to this polit teams message. And yet, every single one of their statements and questions go unanswered. Instead, they claim the child is being "abused" and CPS should step in. Come on, save the Ad Hominems for the election.

Asides from anything else what a bunch of hypocrites, they're moaning about how unresponsible her parents are and at the same time they've popularised her image to the world. American TV media tends to be such trash it's not even worth watching.

You should watch "Dancing with the Stars" or "American Idol". Oh wait, didn't that mindless dross start over in *gasp*...the United Fucking Kingdom?

Perhaps I'm mistaken and the original shows should automatically be classed up due to its geographic location and cultural prowess.

It's not all trash, you just have to find the good things. Like porn.

But no, quite seriously O'Reily is a douchebag for the most part. Only time he's ever amused me has been things he's said and done in relation to the Colbert Report.

Although I would not waste my time watching "Faux News" and O'Reilly I agree that this little child was abused to convey the thoughts of some adults.

It is obvious that this is a professionally directed and cut video clip. On the other hand, that is what you see on TV every day. Actually, it is a commercial for the band "The Bastard Fairies".

They both suck? The lkid was used to advocate a certain view which the barely will understand (if at all). Though I don't think this will "damage" the kid, maybe if they force the kid into doing this repeatidly and thus brainwash them. Though arguebly teaching your kid any morals and views would be "brainwashing" it.

As for O'Reilly, they only focused on the abuse part and showed the "bad" stuff (the attacks on religion, republicans etc.) and left out the part about videogames and such and using the argument against games to blame religion to show the sillyness of blaming videogames, rap etc.

So they both fail.

To be honest, I find both parties are to blame.

Yes, a child should not have been conveyed for this message. But that child advocate is funny as well.
She's basically implying that what the child is saying, is wrong.
Which to very many people is completely and utterly right.

But to be honest, I completely find it ridiculous to even consider calling social security for something like that.
At one point he even compares the parents of the girl to child rapists. Not directly, but it is implied.

The truth is, were it a normal grown up person to say these things, they would be completely disregarded.
The child was merely used as a conveyor messenger so to speak. And in my opinion, an eight year old child understands at least some things of what she said.

To be honest, I can just flip open the TV and see small children spewing utter idiocies from their mouths for all kinds of commercials.

The only reason he makes such a big issue of that, is because the video is clearly directed at him and his moral point of view.
Which to a lot of us is utterly skewed.

How do you do that?

Anyways, it's clear that O'Reilly overreacted a lot, but he does have a point in that this child was clearly motivated by someone else to respond to his outburst.

I think that the Parents are more at fault then the video game creators.

I love Gears of War. Hell, I think its one of the sickest games ever, but just because Parents are making retarded decisions to let there 8 year olds get Xbox Live and Gears of War isn't the Video Game companies fault. Thats why they have an M for mature rating, so the adult who plays it can actually handle it.

And the idocity of Parents is displayed right there in that video of the little girl.

I don't think we can blame the parents totally for kids shooting up a school after playing some doom 3. Some people who are old enough to buy these games blame them for their actions. There are people who have mental problems that went un-noticed by society. It all depends on how you look at the game. Most of us just look at as a way to pass time and meet new people. Other people take them too seriously(cos-play people anyone?)

If every kid had a bible instead of a video game controller we would still see violence except this time it would be blamed on God or Jesus instead of a video game. Kids would have their own interpretations of the bible, and some will not be the friendly love you neighbor type.

There are enough people playing video games that you will run into a few who have mental problems that are made worse by video games. It is something that is inevitable. Trying to stop people from blaming their problems on video games is like trying to achieve world peace.

Bill O'Rielly is just opinionated like many of these commentators. If you want to see far worse in terms of sheer bias, just go check out the 700 Club.

Though I think it's stupid to use the little girl in this manner, the adults could have just as easily done this.

Billo could have just been the big man and ignored this idiotic ploy though.

Yeah you do have a point, it was an obvious ploy to get this girl on T.V.
