He is not messed up in any way, he is just very cynical.

Yes there are some Christians who try to live their lives like Jesus. For the most part though many people who consider themselves to be Christian are hypocrites.

I would watch with stating your age on here. Pub veterans like Jeffro and I love to rip up kids your age.

As for stupiditiy: If your blood starts boiling because of ignorance of other people you are only in for an early death. Human stupidity is infinite so while trying to change it may be noble it is ultimately futile. It is even more futile to try to change it aggressively as that will always result in instinctive resistance.
Better adopt a positive outlook. Think about all the potential in even the worst of men that only needs a clever speaker to be turned into the direction that you regard, at the moment, as the right one.

The Bible is written stories and a collection of Gods messages, It is the link to the Lord God!

God revealed himself to mankind as Jesus Christ, the event people always yearn for "why wont god show himself? etc" and was put to death by mankind for it, The lesson is simple!

Peace and mercy for all, acceptance for even those we disagree with<it is not the job of Christians to judge, that is for God to judge and it is certaintly not our place to hate, for hatred might jeperdize our chance of heaven.

The world is not perfect, no human is perfect, but we must try our best.

Peace be with you Jeffro, but you must learn to not get so upset by the actions of others, i too am learning this valueable lesson daily.

I don't know. Seeing as the OP brings up religion as one of it's main points, I think it's perfectly valid that we discuss it in context to the issue at hand.

Its not just out of fear, its also the way one feels, I look at history, something that interests me and fascinates me, but the only parts of history that truly make me happy is things like the Christmas truce of the first world war, the story of Ernest Gordon who showed forgivness and compassion to his Japanese captors.

One act of kindness is far more powerful than 1000 acts of aggression.

Loving Jesus and admiring the goodness of humanity is what makes me feel happy, its took a while to realise this myself, but only those events and events like them, make me feel truly happy inside.

They are victories above any nations winning wars through decisive battles.

Well it obvious that i do not want to go to hell!

To be honest my the love of Christ plays a far bigger part, i mean, Christ died for our sins, Mankind killed him, not realising that his message was given to save them!, in this modern world, that message seems more apparent than ever!

All this selfishness, greed, suffering, showing no mercy, Christ was crucified to save all from that!

Religion itself should be left to the individual or the church itself.

Not getting involved in government and other matters that would cause a rift between other religions or nations.
I think religion is starting to have too big of a role in todays world.

Once it starts to getting into door knocking conversation about how Jesus loves me, it gets annoying.

History is made on the battlefield, that's all there is. No nation has become a major power through anything other than military action at some point in time. Look at all the major players today, Russia (revolution, both world wars), United States (started by a war, both world wars, etc.), Britain (13 years war, 100 years war, etc.), and the list goes on.

Anywho, I think throwing religion in this discuss is just going to cause a road to bickering, so let's drop it.
