Good thing I'm not a Christian I suppose. Though I see no contradiction between Capitalism and what Christ taught either. He wanted people to share, he didn't want a third party to go in and "redistribute" (I.E. steal) money from one group and give it to another, that is theft and is covered by the first ten commandments(which Christ deferred to).

Aside from that, I'm greedy. That's my money and property.

RCP says 1231 to 1196.

And Huckabee doesn't think Huckabee's out yet.

McCAin is rather well liked because he is moderate on the U.S. spectrum(though the concept of a political "spectrum" is idiotic", so despite the failures of the Republican party these past seven years, I wouldn't be surprised if McCain could instill confidence back into the public and grab the vote for the Republicans, and if the Primaries are anything to show, he's won the nomination. Doesn't he have about 70% of the vote now? WAY ahead of the next highest , Huckabee.

I kinda wanted Huckabee to win just so I could say "President Huckabee", it sounds funneh.

I wasn't talking of capitalism.

Though Jesus
  • was a pacifist (Do not resist an evil person; turn the other cheek; Matthew 5:39)
  • likely oppose the death penalty (same line as well as Judge not that ye not be judged; Matthew 7:1), as well as being soft on crime in general
  • oppose the war on terror (former line)
  • support welfare (Give to those who ask you, Matthew 5:42)
  • support taxation (Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; Matthew 22:21).
Those aren't really conservative viewpoints. As I've said in another thread already, Jesus' teachings are similiar to those of hippies or buddhists and conservatives are neither.

McCain has 797 delegates to Huckabee's 240, and Paul's 14, with 1,191 needed to win.

The head-to-head poll averages show McCain beating Hillary, but losing to Obama.

Yeah, even if Huckabee won 100% of every primary, he would end up with 1044. Still a good 150 short.

Were only a couple weeks into this thread without me posting who I would vote for. Anyways, its Obama. I really like most of his policies (more than anyone else running) Plus he seems like something new and refreshing, which is what we need after Bush. He seems like the less opportunistic politician when compared next to Hilary, and I would not vote for any of the Republican runners except Ron Paul, but he doesn't have a chance so I'm stuck with the Dems.
