Not yet. At first, I couldn't find his mobile number. Then I got a text message from him. Apparently, my half-brother has been wanting to see me and he wants me to arrange to meet him. At which point I gave up. For a start, I don't know where they live anymore so I can't contact them (and as my mum said, Patrick's his son, why should he leave it up to us to contact them?), and secondly, that was all that was there. Not even a 'hello, how are you?'

Like I said earlier, he hasn't even told me they broke up. I only know where he lives from hearsay.

Well, he didn't tell you becuase he didn't want to hurt your psyche or he is weakling. If you hate him it's ok. It seems he doesn't even care really if I were you I would give a F to him.
To tell truth my parents are divorces as well, I was 5 in that time, but they broke up because they knew it wouldn't really work. I meet with both of my parents and I feel no real hatred for any of them as I even think that my mother should have gone to abortion with me, it would be well said if someone would call me accident. So I have no hatred for them. Im lucky that I got all the good genes from both and I can't say I would have lived better than now.

Umm... why? Sorry if that's a sensitive topic, but I'm assuming that if it was, you wouldn't have mentioned it at all.

I think I was too some of the time. I don't care. I'll just learn from my dad's mistakes and be extra careful not to impregnant my girfriend/fianceé/wife unless we're planning it.

Well I was accident and not really wanted, my mother was 18 in that time and had school to finish she gave her youth for me I always tell her she did a great mistake not getting rid of me, however she says she couldn't have done that and she's happy she didn't or at least she told me.

If I've got my timeline straight, my dad was 18 when I was concieved and my mum 25.

Think about it this way, would you rather your dad live with you or live away from you?
If he lived with you would he be the same as he was now?
If you hate him so much try to think of specific reasons why you do, besides that he left.
Another way to look at it is as in a game, like KotOR, when you speak you know what words take you to the light or dark side. Everything is very clear, you know what path you will take and such. This might make it clearer.
If your dad is not crazy, then he still loves you, one of you needs to be the first person to take the step. Just don't procrastinate, and if it doesn't work, then at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that you tried.

I mean THE bedfordshire, the place that inspired J.R.R. Tolkien to write The Hobbit, which inspired him to write the Lord of the Rings, from there all the movies and games came from.
