Those are not guarenteed to work every time... A nucular weapon offers no chance of escape if one is launched you and Thousands of others will die. No compromise...

Step back and think about what you just wrote. Do you know anything about the Standard ARM missiles, or the PAC-III?
And no, we wouldn't nuke them in return. We don't have ones small enough for a response in kind.

Hey...isnt the HIROSHIMA? the North Koreans dropped it??!?!?!?!?!?! Damn..
Im still neutral on the topic..I dont think ANYONE in the world should have nukes, especially them. Nukes are very dangerous and volatile, no one should have them, but I dont think we can get people to stop making them until we take steps our selves to stop curbing the numbers of nukes that we have.

what do you think?
I don't know if you know this but contrary to popular beliefe the President can't "handle" the economy, because if he did it would be called extream socialism or communism, the government can't regulate the economy at all. About the only thing he can do is increase government spending and create more government jobs. That's it. And if you still believe that he can controll the economy the how can you complain, the DOW just hit its highest mark ever, oh well I'll be, TODAY agian for 6th time in the past 2 weeks.

The problem with nukes is that no one wants to be that guy without them. Because if you are then you are at risk. The best bet we have for making people top using nukes is to make an anti-nuclear shield of some kind, that renders radiation and nuclear blasts useless. Of course, that is science ficiton.
Actually casualties from war have dropped drastically since after WWII, and that is usually atributed to the fact that any major war could very well lead to the destruction of mankind, and everyone knows that. Nuclear weapons have saved billions of lives.

Why give them a chance to use it? Where would they launch it? Think about this. Think of someone you really care about. What if that bomb hit somewhere near them? They would have no chance to survive and neither would thousands of others. The government is protecting its civilians. And you should be appreciative that they are. If there were a comfirmation that there were no nukes left in the world you think we would keep ours?

actually yeah i do think we'd keep ours. and there's only one person i care about and if she dies in a nuclear attack then i would too since she doesn't live very far away. but anyway how do you know that they are in fact going to use them? do you have substantial proof besides of "the president said so"? and i don't trust very much of what the media says either.
if i wanted to spend my days worrying about a nuclear attack i'd already have grey hair. and if the government was really trying to protect us they would listen to the 9/11 commission instead of brushing them off without a care, and of course the fact that the terrorists send tapes to the white house before they attack.
and i ask again how is the government trying to save us from a nuclear attack if we had one since assassination of a leader is illegal. and we can't invade every country we think is going to attack us, cause we don't have the military power to do that, china does, we don't.
ok say you are a pilot trainer and a guy comes up to you and says "i want to learn how to fly the plain but not know how to land it" what would you think? would you turn him in as a terrorist or would you think he was joking?
