Re: Bush and his infinite wisdom...or so we're told

Bush sure made some stupid mistakes, but it is guaranteed he more than paid for them. That's the problem with being the president of the United States these days. Everyone is up your ass 24/7 for 4 years. Every second of every day is second guessed for political correctness. Golly Gee, we surely don't want to offend anyone.

The main reason I've liked him is because what he said when he first got in the white house. He wanted to bring dignity and honor back into the white house. Under the last 8 years i think he's done that and much much more. We just can't see it now. Maybe in 16 years from now we'll see things differently.

I think people underestimate his intelligence because they disagree with him. They figure they are right and he is wrong, which is perfectly natural to think if you are convinced of something. But I think he is pretty intelligent and knows what he is doing, and believes what he is donig is right.

Whether or not he is right is a matter of opinon. If I had to generalize I would say I agree with his foreign policy but disagree with his domestic policies, especially No Child Left Behind and immigration.

i can't really say i agree with anything he has done...no child left behind to the war in iraq.

before he went to iraq the logical thing to do would have been to gather more information and actually listen to the terrorist threats so he could stop them but he didn't.

and the jobs didn't leave until bush made it cheaper for them to go overseas and pay workers $1 an hour for something we'd get payed $5.15 an hour for

Bah, I don't need no stinkin' disclaimer. I know better.

However this thread is really trying me as I want so desperately to take part in the debate, but cannot because I don't have said legal buffer. heh. Which is why I'm just trying to keep things in check on the facts and not offering opinions.. yet..

Who knows, I may need to offer my opinion sooner than later.

I can't say that I agree with him on every issue, but he has my full support on issues regarding the war on terror.

even if it costs hundreds of thousands or millions of innocent lives? the "war on terror" is centralized in iraq for reasons i don't understand..

Any president who takes a mass murderer and a dictator to trial is a hero!

Damn, way to slap spin on this issue.

Yeah, Bush went in with every intention of bagging as many civilians as possible.

The war on terror is centered on Iraq because that is where the terrorists decided to fight, not Afghanistan. We invaded Iraq to remove a dictator, they decided to come to the regieme's aid, so now we have to fight them. Simple.
