I'll just say he has more infinite wisdom than Clinton ever had...or could ever dream of for that matter...

[He's certainly not perfect though]

Because of my status in the company, I'm going to leave my personal opinion regarding our leader out of this topic. However, I would like to point this out.

The impact of his tax cuts are not causing gas prices to go down. The seasonal demand for gas and oil has gone down for the automotive industry with summertime and peoples love for driving during this time (Vacations, etc..) has gone down. With demand down, supply costs have dropped and it's more economical for the cost of the product to subside as a result. The downside is that for people that use gas heating, the price will go up for the wintertime as this is the primary time of use.

While this could be confused with a booming economy (The 8 trillion dollar debt says otherwise to this).. it's just pure happenstance. This fluctuation has gone on for many years before GWB took office. While the war did have an impact on the gas prices, you cannot blame it fully. The summertime fluctuation would have made it gone up anyway, it just went up quite a bit more then it should have due to that fact. Fully blaming either side on this issue is pointless. The real bastards in this equation are OPEC.

what do you think?
Well...you can sit here and say he did a terrible job because you are looking at everything after the fact. It is like you already watched a football game and pointing out all the mistakes that where made after the game is over. At the time of the game....both teams did their best.

I like Bush a lot. Sure...he may have made mistakes...but at the time...the thought he was doing the right thing. You have that knowledge now...but we didn't have it right after 911.

I completely agree, i really think Bush is doing what he thinks is best.
Unfortunatly, as the President of the United States, trying is not enough.
In the end, the results matter and i don't like the way those look at all. He started two wars with questionable motives (but the terrorists-! ).
He managed to hugely increase the budget deficit without any real benefits for the average citizen. His environmental policies are the worst in the first world. He supports radical fundamentalist christain groups.

Bottom line, i think he's one of the worst presidents the country's seen.

well ... He isn't the worst karst ... But ... CLOSE> lol

n0e is correct though with the corellation of gas versus seasons.
3.18 in nys at the beginning of summer , 2.31 average now. Almost a bucks worth of difference there folks.
happens every year.

if you lived where i lived you'd know his ideas are hurting areas like mine even though the dumbasses voted forim..i didn't i voted for kerry cause i figured he'd handle the home better but then he said that lil comment during the second term if he did run for election i wouldn't vote for him...

but anyway since bush has been in office my county has lost 10,000 jobs or higher...if i knew the website to the paper i'd tell you but i don't so i'll have to find the column and scan it.

lets not forget though while clinton was in office the gas prices were still under $2....and lets not forget about how he handled hurricanes katrina and rita

Bush isn't fully responsible for the loss of jobs in your town. It's like blaming an entire outbreak of salmonila on Jack in the box. And about Clinton ? Gas still reached 3 bucks while he was in office. May not have happened in your town , but did where i live. So no clinton was no better. And remember his famous last words: " I did not have sexual relations with that woman".
