You are 20 years old dude, look up where the good jobs are and move.
What is holding you back?

Why you gotta bash the Military? Maybe that is just what you need ;)

Yes, that is better. Recruiters are annoying. For some reason they even keep calling me.

Finding a job isn't harder than ever. Unemployment is at something like a six year low. If other people can find jobs, then you can too.

i can't move to far, i'm back in school and i've looked in 3 tennessee counties and 2 or 3 kentucky counties.

walked in the human resources building and they started laughing at me. then i went to the individual businesses around and they told me they were firing people....sry for saying the damn military instead of the damn military recruiters :(.

just remember the unemployment % is only based on those that draw unemployment and not on people like me who can't draw unemployment.

That sucks. Get your education finished and then you will be fine.
You could switch schools, no?

feardamaverickhunters November 22nd, 2006 07:37 AM

if i leave the state i'll lose what little scholarship i have...stupid lottery money...it only works in tennessee schools =\ and i don't know where the next tennessee trade school is.

Or, maybe you should have paid a little more attention in school, last I checked jobs are a plenty. I moved 1500 miles from California to Colorado, leaving a high paying job. I came into Colorado without any prospects. I landed another job 3 days after arriving with about the same amount I made before. Education and common sense will land you a job if you really want one. I suspect you are one of those young bucks that want the high paying job right out of school? Well good luck my friend, you need to pay your dues like everyone else.

maybe you should read the posts more carefully i said "i've been to 3 different counties in 2 different states and if i leave tennessee to move somewhere else i'll lose my grant money."

and another thing i wasn't looking for a high paying jobs, this was looking at factories like pella and restaurants like mcdonald's. and even the tobacco farmers have no openings. so tell me where are the jobs at period?

and i am still in school, and daja don't act so high and mighty. good for you, you can get a job in three days, now come here to the middle of nowhere and try that, i can't go to far without having at least enough to pay for the gas, and $5.15 an hour isn't going to pay for the gas.
