Homosexuality is not contagious. Adopted children of homosexual parents are not more likely to become homosexuals themselves. This claim is supported by statistics from all countries that have chosen to be mature enough to allow adoption by homosexual parents.

Likewise with people who have homosexual friends. They do not risk becoming homosexuals themselves. It really is that simple.

In short: There is no reason to dislike a certain sexual orientation.

Not necessarily, as those who are in deep denial about their own sexuality have very good reasons. Homophobia projected onto others is directly related to insecurities with their own sexuality.

I assume, then, that you don't live in Xinfeng County, in Jiangxi Province. The government there has decided that a lot of money can be made growing oranges in that part of China. And so the propaganda shows how good growing oranges is. The photo in this book (bottom right) is an example of government propaganda:
