*yawns*

Maybe banning hijabs, and Muslim bashing may have caused some anger.
These people are losers.Thing is when they strike they cause a lot of damage.
They are maybe trying to take advantage of uh the current attitude towards Muslims.

Question:are maximum of the rapists and other criminals in France,Muslims?

And all this because France sent peacekeepers to Afghanistan?
do you expect rationality or fairness from these people?

because of the crusades, that like US bombing britain for the tea tax.
their first big mistake was attacking america in the first place. all it caused was for al queda to run to the hills after getting their bum spanked. im actully disapointed in ameria for not sending 500,000 troops to afghanistan to wipe al queda out, and make the taliban beg to be taken to gitmo.

In the grand scheme of things, the US-France relationship is the closest international partnership in modern times. Even more so than the Anglo-American alliance.

Re: Congratulations France, You're now on Al Qaeda's list

The French fleet was the key to the final American victory at Yorktown during the Revolution.

Two Frenchmen, de Lafayette and de Beaumarchais, did more for American independence than any other foreigners by far. Lafayette by training our soldiers, and Beaumarchais by equipping our army, mostly with his own money.

It was the arrival of American troops that allowed the Allied Powers to liberate the entirety of France during the final years of World War I.

Escadrille 124 (the so-called Lafayette Escadrille) was composed entirely of American pilots in the French flying service during World War I. The British did not have an American combat unit. The French also had at least two ambulance services staffed by Americans, and commanded by French officers.

The US, while it still could, supplied war materials to the French up until the Germans conquored it early in World War II. We were also the primary supplier of equipment to the Free French Army in Europe. The US also provided the bulk of soldiers that fought to liberate France in 1944 and 1945.

In 1949, France was one of the founding members of NATO.

In the 1950s we backed the French against the Viet Minh insurrection in Indo-China.

We, of course, had a very close relationship throughout the Cold War. The French also made up a sizeable amount of the forces that fought against Iraq in the 1991 Gulf War.

The French have sent soldiers to Afghanistan. Really the only thing we have major friction over is the current occupation of Iraq.

It should be noted that while the United States has waged open war against the United Kingdom twice, we, as an independent state, have never fought against the French.

Well its seems everyone is a target, but does it mean anything, the will attack the weakest or the strongest, the weakest if they are weak and the strongest to show dominance

Propably so, but the history doesn't mean much in cold real politics today or in simple people's minds. Tony Blair created a strong relationship between Great Britain and the USA, especially on George W. Bush. Jacques Chirac on the other hand, have taken distance from the USA.

About the subject: what can I say? Al-Qaeda is getting weaker and like masked_marsoe said, tries now to look stronger.

This doesnt even make sense to me:

And all this because France sent peacekeepers to Afghanistan?

How long has it been since French Crusaders ravaged the Middle East? 1250 AD?
How long has it been since Moorish Muslims invaded southern France? 732 AD?

You are assuming that these are rational professors who like to sit in their armchairs and discuss Kant. They aren't. Wars between Civilizations are not won by rational discussions and motives, but by primal enthusiasm.

And it really doesn't matter since the last war between Christianity and Islam occured. It could have happened TEN thousand years ago, and they would still be angry about it. That's the thing about tribal societies. Past wrongs, real or imaginary, are not forgotten quickly, or easily.

The leaders of these movements will of course exaggurate their objectives. I doubt Osama really believes that Spain will be retaken (At least in the near future), but a counter-Reconquista is still a good banner to rally supporters to his cause.

Very true. I'm just trying to help slow down the Francophobic attitude of so many people in my country.

Isn' t this romantic? Two terrorist groups deciding to work together to kill as many men as possible, all with the Eiffel tower in the scenery?
