| I hate when people bring politics into this issue to delay actually having to address the problem. The earth is warming up faster than it has in a very long time. To simply argue whether or not it is completely is our fault is idiocy. They say major ice shelfs in Greenland and Antarctica could be gone within the next few decades, raising sea levels by up to twenty feet. That pretty much screws quite a few coastal areas. If I've seen the right computer simulations, that means a lot of Florida is gone, for example. Some people say nature does more damage than we do. Perhaps that's true. A volcano in 1815 created a mini-ice age. However, when each driver is putting out five pounds of carbon per gallon of gas, that's a lot of greenhouse gas. That's not even including all the other sources of CO2. When added up annually, it seems to be a lot more dangerous than a single volcano. And global warming is not simply a slight change in temperature in one place. Every single change in one place affects the rest of the world. If I remember correctly, the average temperature during the ice age was only a few degrees cooler than it is now. Obviously that's a huge change in climate. In the last century alone the temperature has increased a degree or two. That is one century. The ice age lasted for thousands of years. That's drastic change.

| remember folks! The earth is not a vacuum. there is no such thing as Average temp because the earth is constantly varying from Ice Age to the standard tropical heat basket. Just because man happened to evolve during the transition doesnt mean the world is going to end. just change. and nothing you, or your descendants can do, will change that. So you better adapt to the new surroundings or your gonna be on Darwins shit list. Bitching about whether or not man is responsible is just as dumb as suggesting whether we can stop it because truthfully, this shiat has been happening since before man came along, and its happening now.

But Roaming East hit it right on the nose. If this is going to happen, its going to happen, whether we want it to or not. We'll just have to deal with it.

| money is property, and having it taken away from you works against liberty, because you aren't able to spend it the way you would like, gov't is deciding for you.

| I truthfully think we will be able to survive. If we do, we can always rebuild and rethink our ways. If not, well..the animals win then. But if I survive and anyone I don't like dies. I do a jig on there grave. -nod- Lord of Dance. |
