I do not know of any sources, but I have seen several examples of it.

My mom was Greek Orthodox and my dad was catholic. My mom decided to convert to catholism to keep their kids to one relgion. Now she dislikes the catholic chruch for some of their views, and she wants to go to a differnt relgion after my brothers are confirmed.

As far as I know, all relgions, minus orthodox jews are ok with interfaith marriage.

Strange, my grandad was Greek Orthodox and my grandma was Catholic. They, on the other hand, decided that the way to have a happy household was to bring up secular children. My atheist dad met my atheist mum and they had this little anti-religionist sitting in this chair.

Is inter-faith the same as inter-denominational?

My situation was a religious mom & athiest dad, neither idea was forced on us 4 kids, but we were left to decide for ourselves. Now as adults we all have our religious beliefs, but non of us try to convert others. I believe the choice should be up to each individual. We were at least given both views, and the choice to decide on our own. Think that's the best way, as belief isn't something that you can force on anyone...or even try to. JMO

That's good but generally speaking when the spirituality of the children matters to the parents it creates alot of conflicts of intrest between mates.

Children in these families grow to maturity with no particular sense of dirction.

Whether you're brought up by either a certain amount of knowledge is handed down the parent from their faith. When there is a conflict the kid doesn't reap any particular benifit.

The result is confusion. That has it's down sides but I have found these people are easier to talk to at any rate.
