| Some interesting articles linked to me from an e-mail. Don't want to really spoil the suprise, if you can call it that. If you want to claim that what you are going to read is a conspiracy of some sorts, then at least have the decency to back it up with solid information. In keeping with my requirement of three sources before I consider it fact, I found two more (wasn't hard) articles to back up the original. http://www.usembassy-dhaka.org/state...1jul08_04.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/mid...st/3872201.stm http://www.iaea.org/NewsCenter/Media...raq_0606.shtml http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...081300530.html http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/...raq.chemicals/ http://www.boston.com/news/world/art...vered_in_iraq/ http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/articl...018EDT0516.DTL http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?B...&PAG=461&rfi=9 http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/i...aq-sarin_x.htm |

| first link: sounds like you migth have found something.. but looking at it again it dates from july 2004.. and since there havent been any real mention of it in the media im guessing it was BS. second link: Quote:
theird link: though it's bad terrorist are trying to get hold of these weapons.. the US themself supplied them in the first place. danish forces have also found chemical mortar shells from the Iran/Iraq war but again if the US hadent supplied them they wouldent have been there.

| "The 1,000 "sources" evacuated in the Iraqi operation included a "huge range" of radioactive items used for medical purposes and industrial purposes, a spokesman for the Energy Department's National Nuclear Security Administration told AP news agency. " Is cancer treatment and radiology illegal in Iraq these days? |

The story came in from AP wires, and was also reported on CNN. Now, a media that does not report hardly anything good that happens in Iraq would hardly jump at the opportunity of writing a news story that backs the original reason for going to war. http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/meast/07/07/iraq.nuclear/ Some chemicals can be used for industrial purposes, of course. But what industry does Iraq have? Aside from weapons production and oil, of course. Furthermore, the several UN resolutions specifically stated that that Iraq can not own any of the barred weapons, have plans to aquire these weapons, and they can not own any form of biological or chemical weapons component. They can't even have Anthrax for disease research. Who supplied the weapons is no longer relevant. Iraq was ordered to turn over all weapons of nuclear, biological, and chemical in nature, along with the components to make them. They failed to do so. Niu, Iraq did not have the healthcare system that is advanced enough to even be able to afford facilities capable of radiation therapy. Furthermore, they were allowed no Uranium or Plutonium for whatever reason, be it medical or weaponry. Even if they were allowed to use it for medical purposes, then it should have been declared and in a hospital. Finally, enriched uranium is not even used in radiation therapy. The only application for enriched uranium is weapons production. |

Otherwise it would have been all over the news. Are you really sure that the radioactive medical supplies has never been registered? A state of war and general chaos tends to make things end up in strange places, and paperwork to vanish. |

| hmm interesting find. I dont think its BS, however there are otheruses for these chemicals, so I think thats why it isnt headline news. In the chaos of war, stuff is always moved around or gone missing. I still dont think the reason it was there was for nuke making. However, it can still be turned into a nuclear weapon. The thing im worried about is how much material was looted before the US got there?

| Cycloserin gas has only one purpose, to kill. Enriched uranium has only one use, to be made into fissile material. Fissile material is used in two things. One is nuclear powerplants, which Iraq had none of. Second is nuclear weapons. Iraq was not allowed any uranium or plutonium for any reason. Even if this stuff was being used for radiation therapy, Iraq would have been in violation of several UN resolutions. These chemicals that they found were raising eyebrows for a reason. It isn't like they found ammonia and industrial solvents... "Incoming! Crap, its ammonia! My uniform is bleached, and my eyes are watering really bad. Run away!" |
