This is probably incredibly unwise considering they both know I come here, but what the heck, if they're nosy enough to hunt it down then they deserve to have their nose slammed in the door.
Out of the pair I love my father most. Don't get me wrong, he's a bit of a pain sometimes with hair-brained schemes that I fear will one day send us into complete bankruptcy and mum's not bad...
It's just dad's a lot more practical. While mum sprouts lots of shit that's meant to be reassuring but really serves to make you exasperated he'll actually help with things, (or at least try to.)
Over the recent years mum's 'just wait and everything will turn out fine' approach to life has really started to annoy me. You only get so many years and you need to get as far as you can before the shit hits the fan. It's not a matter of 'if you want it enough it will happen' or any of that other crap she's spouted for so many years.
I know she means it to be reassuring, but it's not, and frankly I've grown out of wanting to hear that sort of comforting lie many many years ago so now when I hear it it just serves to annoy the hell out of me.
The thing is I know she means well, even if she can't be bothered with any actual help, but there's a time when meaning well isn't enough anymore and it's inevitable that people who offer some real help are going to stand out rather than those who try to drown people in a sea of slightly minced reassuring crap.
I once read a book that said 'The most disturbing time in a child's life is when they realise their parents are human.'
We'd like them to be immortal gods that can make the world alright and never make a mistake, someone that can make all the things we see and dislike go away. But they're not, maybe that's why some of us feel the need for gods, I don't know. Parents are just mortal though, it's easy to think you could never love one more than the other. It's not true, as with all people in the end it's relatively easy to judge. It doesn't mean you don't love one of them or that you're a callous bastard, it just means you know they make mistakes.
But we're people too, and those mistakes add up over the years, they're cast in a new light as the child's experience of the world grows.
I'm sick and tired of mistakes, I know my parents are mortal -- and they aren't deserving of unconditional love.
If you happen to disagree with me or think I should have unconditional love for someone simply because they put me on this earth and cared for me through my years then that's your prerogative. It's not an opinion I share mind you.
personally, i prefer mother, father made a good pie, but mother freezes much more easily and didn't take so long to cook. Also, father has these tiny little bones that always get stucks in yon throat.
on the whole, father!!!!!!!!!!!111111111utsfcaps1!1+111=!!!!!!
Hurricane America - The winds of change are coming.
Vice President of Hurricane America.
I love both my parents, on the whole though I'm actually closer to my mom than to my dad. Then again he's not really that close to anyone. He loves you, just doesn't know how to show it.
Like a sigh piercing the moon,
It shines white, and scatters red.
Mommy=Always taught me to be strong and brave...be tough and dominate towards anything thats thrown at you like your father always did.
Father=Always have pride in yourself and family! Make sure your last name is always remembered...and never walk over people...shove them to the side!

Well, me and my father both have an intence interest in aviation related stuffs, and we have had some pretty cool trips on airshows in the UK the last couple of years. I'm having a great time when I'm with my father, as we can pretty much discuss anything related to aviation, military and history.
But seeing how realy nice and loving my mother also is, I have to vote on them both.
Ever since my dad got diagnosed with Cancer (not sure what type of cancer it is in English) 4 years ago, I have had an inner fear and have had nightmares on what would happen if he died...
