are you talking about the same liberal media that digged up clinton's affair and publicized it, blew it out of proportion and slandered him ect? the same liberal media that didnt report or watered down the antiwar protests that happened all over the world today? the same liberal media that doesnt report the people killed daily in a REPUBLICAN'S war? the same liberal media that publicized clintons lie about his affair, yet doesnt talk about the current administrations lies and flip/flopping because "its not news worthy"? The same people who said the war was about WMD, then Iraqi Freedom, then the "War on Terrorists" ? ya very liberal |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Neither of you can blast the media for bias favoring the other end of the spectrum. The non-politically based media serves no one but itself; providing only entertainment that will bring it money and ratings. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? In response to that I say neither,Our government is Fu*^$$. Full of money and power hungry fools, and dont say "Well would you rather live in china?" To that I say no douche, but I dont enjoy my government. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? And to think he will be voting in only three years... *shudders* |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Clintons impeachment was to big for even them to ignore and the media LOVES to talk about antiwar protests |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? The media has a massive bias for the sensational, the stories involving blood, semen, drugs, or even better, all three, and h8as a large lets-not-offend-the-guys-owing-us bias. The slant of the reporters is insignificant by comparison |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? I'm surprised Bush Sr. hasn't got more votes. |

Guess what Stalker, the liberals and the conservatives have a coalition here in Sweden. They're allies. |

Between 1995-1999 and 1999-2003 the Left Alliance (clearly left-wing party) and National Coalition (clearly right-wing party) were in the same government too here in Finland and their cooperation was satisfactory at least. |

I almost feel sorry for him and how Reagen pretty much screwed up anything postive he did or could have done. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? first and foremost, clinton couldn't keep his pants zipped. even more importantly, he could've saved countless numbers of american lives by killing Osama when delivered so many chances on a silver platter. Second, bush Jr. is a retard. Proof: he once said on live TV in the 2004 debate "I've heard there are rumors on the Internets..." internetS?! uh... theres only one, smartass! also, "they hate us for our freedom" well than why hasn't Al Quedia attacked Amsterdam?! and finally, "We're going to war tiwh Iraq because U.S. Intelligence has determined that they have Weapons of Mass Destruction" ok... the only weapons we found (which were a handful, at best) could NEVER reach the U.S. from Iraq! They had NOT A SINGLE MISSILE with that kind of range!!! See why we elect rednecks? because otherwise, who would defend this country (*from attacks that aren't coming*) |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? So he is not glib of tounge, I'm fine with that. They have not attacked Amsterdam for a few reasons. One, it would do nothing for their cause. Two, Amsterdam has lots of Muslims. Hell, all of Holland has lots of Muslims. The US soldiers found several mobile chemical weapons labs as well as botchulism toxins and enough gear to protect the Iraqi army for a total chemical or biological war. The fear was Saddam would either use his weapons against Israel or American bases in Saudi Araba. His al-Hussein missiles, modified SCUDs, could reach those targets with ease. Another fear was that Saddam would sell weapons to Syria, Iran, or some other terrorist state who would sell those weapons to al Qaeda. |

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Quote:
I also heard about mortars with poisonous chemicals inside the projectiles. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Well, it's not exactly enough to cover the entire Iraqi army. It looks like those suits were only for training and/or special units. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Quote:
Quote:
It's laughable that they even put that in the news. PS. Where's that mobile chemical weapons labs you were talking about? |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? That gear was being given out before the invasion, including drugs used to counter the effects of nerve attacking gas. Does Iraq seem like the kind of place that anyone would launch a nuclear weapon at? Do you really think American or British soldiers would use chemical or biological weapons against the Iraqis? One of the mobile labs: http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/6176/mobilelab5pn.jpg 155mm artillery shells ready to fire mustard gas. http://img74.imageshack.us/img74/5382/figure95sy.gif So, you were saying... |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Quote:

Second: Those arty shells doesn't exactly look brand new... That's probably just some leftovers from '88. Besides it doesn't really look like Saddam had an intent to use them, I mean, look at the condition they're in! Seriously though USMA, do you really think Bush invaded Iraq for some rusty mustardgas shells? |

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Yeah, I won't even try to argue for him on that. At least he has gotten better, relativly speaking, over the past couple of years. But it is not as though the Democrats don't have their slips of tounge. Charles Schumer commented during the Robert's confermation hearing that liked movies with good cinemafatogophy. Apparently, a close cousin of cinematography... But this isn't nearly as disturbing as the question Senator Schumer asked Roberts. "What kind of movies do you like?" |

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Quote:
Fact is that the lives of 3,000 Americans were lost when Clinton failed to seize oppertunity and act on Osama. He had multiple chances. He blew it. He raised taxes. Bush has given more money and done more for poor people than Clinton ever did. |

Furthermore, it's not entirely Clinton and his administration's fault that Osama wasn't captured, but the CIA and the forces of Northern Alliance in Afghanistan had their part too. Quote:
P.S. You have a good video there USMA :D |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? How can this even be a discussion, sorry but bush appears to the rest of the world as a total retard, incabable of stringing a sensible sentence together. Under Clinton america moved in the right direction, trying to bring about peace and reducing unemployment in the states. under bush theres been wars started, refusal to cut down on greenhouse gases, and an increase in uneployment in the states. Clinton is better by a country mile. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? :vikki: Perhaps you should have lived in the United States during this time. Clinton also refused Usama bin Laden at least four times. He bombed an asprin factory because of a terrorist attack against Americans. He did not grant Task Force Ranger the proper support needed to finish their job in Somalia. Under his administration, the monumenatal fuck-ups like Enron and WorldCom were allowed to happen. Because of his economic policies, the US built up a hollow economy (the 'dot coms') that popped just before Bush got elected. His civil rights laws prohibited the FBI from even touching one of the 9/11 hijacker's laptop computers, which contained complete data on the attack as well as correspondence with his comrades, even though we had it for something like two months before the attack. He outright lied to the American people. And for whatever reason, bombing Saddam Hussein under Clinton is fine, but God forbid a Republican does it! All in all, you are wrong. |

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Well i have to say that clinton was not a good president. The fact im a diehard rublican/conservative aside, clinton disrespected the office. So much history, and so much tradition associated with that office - and he blatenly disrespected it. All the other presidents over the past 200 years have been able to restrain themselves, why couldn't he? He performed good actions... for the most part.... but Bush has also dealt with a lot and you have to give him credit for that. George W. dealth with 9/11. George W. Dealt with Hurricane Katrina just recently. George W. has had to deal with some of the hardest most trying times in american history. More than most if not all (with the exception of Washington, Adams, and Jefferson) of the presidents preceeding him. Bush Sr. also did a good job, he managed the gulf war better than any of the president's presented could. Economically however he was a little deficent like his son. On the whole when all is weighed out Clinton made some better decisions but his blatent disrespect for the office of the president and by extent the american people shames him far beyound my vote. George W. has made the best of a VERY crummy situation and is better than any alternative we could have had. Don't mess with texas. -SMC- |

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? That took me like 10 minutes to read, maybe I'll try again when I'm not tired, But, uh, way to get sources. Oh and NiteStryker, the big difference between Clinton and Bush in Iraq-blowing-up was that Clinton used an Air Force to blow up stuff, and chose not to invade. Bush, however, attacked with ground troops, who, shall we say, have been out of action for a while. One thing I like about desert combat, training for it in the USA almost always is in the Mojave. Me likey the Mojave |

Fool me — you can't get fooled again." —Nashville, Tenn., Sept. 17, 2002 "I try to go for longer runs, but it's tough around here at the White House on the outdoor track. It's sad that I can't run longer. It's one of the saddest things about the presidency." —interview with "Runners World," Aug. 2002 "I don't know where bin Laden is. I believe his heart is in the right place but his brain is somewhat lacking. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? The point about him not being a great public speaker has been beaten to death, then sliced up, burned, and is now decomposing. And did you even try to read the article's posted about Bush's intellegence? Read them this time: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/wa...tudent?mode=PF http://www.vdare.com/sailer/kerry_iq_lower.htm http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...s_x.htm?csp=34 http://www.political-news.org/breaki...-to-bushs.html Hell, go back and read the posts I have made in the past two pages. They will address every statement you made. If you have any questions, then come back. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Its not about public speaking its about a total lack of knowledge about anything outside his 4 walls. Your links are related to Kerry and Bush, i dont recall mentioning Kerry anywhere, if i am somewhat mistaken please point out where. Also everyone knwos IQ tests are crap, they're socially based. As for grades at uni, who cares? Do you know the reasons why? Maybe it was poor teaching, maybe he was unwell on that day, theres a million reason but none are important. Its easy to mistake academic achievement with intelligence but they are different things. Some one who is academic may just be able to write good essays, cram information in before an exam or even cheat on the work. Intelligence is the ability to learn, understand and make judgments or have opinions based on whats going on around them. These relate to people not just facts out of textbooks and to events that are going on now. Bush's gaff are not just slips of the tounge but show unbelievable stupidity in my opinion. If i recall correctly, when Bush was asked to point to where Israel was on a world map he couldnt, a good sense of knowledge of the world then. On another occasion he met a girl called Charlotte Church and asked where she was from, she replied Wales, to which Bush replied 'What state is that?'. For those that dont know Wales is a COUNTRY next to England. Also relating to your previous posts, they dont address my issues with the exception of the hijackers laptop which i have also debated on. I wasnt asking questions anyway, i was stating my point of view. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? :cort: So all of the sudden one's scholastic grades no longer reflect their intellegence? In that case, the GPA that I worked hard for obviously means nothing, and toasted stoners should be able to get into Harvard. Instead of making stupid claims based on hearsay, like Bush doesn't know where Israel is, why don't you find some good, unbiased support? It will make you look far more credible. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Why dont you come up with some links to the topic being discussed, Clition or Bush, not Kerry. What i said was people who are not academic can still be intelligent and vice versa. I didnt say degrees were worthless, i said degrees do not necessarliy imply intelliegence. If it did we would have either intelligent people who were amazing at everything or 'thick' people who were crap at everything, the fact of the matter however is that people are good at different things, what some find easy other find hard. If it is purely intelligence, who is more intelligent, a person whos studies maths or a person who studies french? a person whos studies history or a person who studies biology? a person whos studies art or a person who studies engineering? a person whos studies sport science or a person who studies business? Im not saying everyone could do the work that you have done, but then is that because they're all thick or is maybe because they aren't interested in it, weren't taught well when younger, are crap at writing essays, get all panicked at exams? Maybe their good at things that require intellignece but arent tested at school. Again Quote:

Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? for all those who support the war i would like to see you patroling iraq in 120+F. degrees. liveing conditions in iraq are worse. a bombing about everyday. the humvees are not fully armored and dount have air conditioning. i know it was hard under saddam for the iraqi people and how he killed some of them. but under his power he didnt have these bombing and gunfight in cities. the only reason to go to iraq was to make money. cheney has the company haliberton that is rebuilding iraq. also bush wanted to take over the oil fields of iraq. bush dousnt care about the people of iraq. while troops are dieing and being shot at in 120 degree weather, polititions are wondering if they should up armor the humvees and how much they are willing to spend on the soildier aquipment. and dount bring up somalia. it was a preacekeeping opperation to stop the genocide but it got ugly because of the rebels numbers. THERE ARE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ. stop watching FOX news and turn on something like CNN or MSNBC. has highest number of confused watchers. if you are smart you would read this http://www.alternet.org/story/16892 if your thinking clinton should of taken out osama then maybe we should of never given him weapons to fight the russians and there would be no twin towers attack. the russians would take over afganistan and make it a modern country with not osama. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? To me bush JR is the best president because I agree with what he does. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? Oh God, he found the Pub. You SUCK AT LIFE. I already did enlist in the Army as an infantryman, you tool. My uncle is serving his second tour as a squad leader in Iraq, he served his first in one of the mechanized units spearheading the drive into Iraq. Our Humvees are armored against small arms fire, no shit. RPGs and IEDs? Impossible. He killed 250,000 people during his rule, that is not some. That is what we educated people call genocide. That contract awarded to Haliburten was given out ten years ago, you twit. The Democrats, like you, are the ones who say they do not want to spend money on new military technologies and armor. Practice what you preach. You do know that the price of oil has gone up dramatically since 2003? And that the oil fields are not being run by Americans? Not a single fucking one! Somalia got ugly because Clinton is retarded, pure and simple. Even Jeffro, the most knowledgeable liberal around here, knows that Somalia's failure was because of Clinton. Iraq sold them or hid them. Shit, in 2000 Iraqi scientists defected to the US and confirmed our suspisions. Again, you are wrong. You are right, CNN and MSNBC does have the highest number of confused viewers. We did not give anything more than small arms and FIM-92A Stingers to the mujahideen fighters. This makes them want to attack us? Your logic is totally lacking, at absolute best. At worst, you are a plain retard. OH MY GOD! THE RUSSIANS WERE PROTECTING AN UNPOPULAR COMMUNIST PUPPET GOVERNMENT! YOU THINK THAT IS GOING TO MAKE THEM MODERN? LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STATES LIKE KASAKHSTAN! Shit, do you even know where that IS?! You are truly pathetic. |
Re: Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush? calm down..... you must admit bush jr is one of the worst presidents. also i said FOX news has the highest number of confused viewers.(read the article in the link) communism is a popular form of govenment, look at china. china kills the most people of any country. why dount we invade them? im not democrat and im not republican. why arnt we going after osama with the full force of the US army. iraq did not cause 9/11. also i have a question. why is iraq still partialy in the stoneage? |
