Who was the better american president: Clinton or Bush?

I'm going to have to reverse myself on the stance of impeaching Clinton. I originally thought that he was placed under oath in an investigation into the Lewinsky affair, thus the investigation was baseless because they had no grounds to do so. It turns out that I was wrong, and that it was in a separate trial on sexual harassment that he denied the Lewinsky affair while under oath and committed perjury. Impeachment of a president or any public official is supposed to be conducted on the grounds of high crimes or misdemeanor, so he should have been removed from office. Then again, if that had happened, Al Gore would have become president and following the pattern that no president has ever been voted out of office with unemployment below 5.8%, he probably would have been reelected in 2000.

Bush Jr. Sucks, Bush Snr. Sucks, Clinton Sucks, Republicans Suck, Democrats Suck, Hence America Sucks! Honestly who cares what a man does in his bedroom (clinton), was it really worth spending millions and millions of dollars of tax payers money on investigating Clinton? Hell no. Not that the money would have been used more wisely if it weren't spent on investigating Clinton.

The big deal is not that he had an affair. The big deal is that he was under investigation for crimes of sexual harrassment and he lied under oath, which is a very serious crime in itself.

PR stunt?? You are mistaken, everything Bush does is blasted over the world by the liberal medai, they didnt blast everything Clintion did because Clinton is a liberal

Clinton managed to do some things. He raised taxes. He attempted to reform healthcare, but failed when he appointed Hillary as the head of the committee of reform. The reform plan was shot down for being too complex. He passed a gun control bill, banning assault weapons. There was the incident in Somalia, and he lead NATO in an action against Kosovo that was every bit as illegal in the eyes of international law as the war in Iraq (IMO still justified by the removal of Milosevic and the 600 people he is charged with killing, but for anyone that claims Iraq as unjustified and a reason for not voting for W Bush, they should vote for Bush Sr. since he was the only one of the three who took military action through the UN). He committed perjury, and was impeached for it.

Most of the reason that Clinton didn't accomplish that much was he was overly ambitious in his reform plans. In his first term, he barely had a majority in congress. In his second term, he didn't have one. He thought he had a mandate from the people for liberal reform when he really only had a slim majority to pass it with the first term, and not even one in his second term. If he had focused on middle ground legislation that both sides could agree on or compromise over, he might have had more success.
