OH GOD!! What's the big deal?? You don't feel any different, it doesn't change your life or who you are. It doesn't make you a slag/stud, this only thing that changes is your view on losing it.

You realise that it isn't a big deal, you realise it's just a bit of fun between two intimate people (whether it's a one night stand, with someone you've been with for a while etc...) after all, you're not doing it to re-produce.

I've noticed that you guys are all hung up about it. Don't be. Who cares whther your still a virgin or not - it doesn't matter.

What does matter is how you think about sex. It's nothing to get hung up over, nothing to be shy about, nothing to be ashamed of.

I'm also a little worried that some of you guys are too worried about people's perception of you if you did have sex. It seems to me that those of you in this position would be ashamed to have sex because people would know.

Who cares if people know that you have sex? If you didn't you'd be pretty android human beings.

I don't regret any of my past activities with men. I have enjoyed every minute, and I shall carry on enjoying it, and I don't care one bit what people think about it. Because it's normal.

It's normal to have sex, but not at a particular age or with a silly reason... I don't want sex just because of the fun, but I want sex to show a girl that I love her... She's not a toy or something that I throw away after one time sex...

I don't mind what others do or won't do, I simply wait till I've met the right girl and than we could have sex, if I had sex with all the girls I already had, then man.... That doesn't work imo...

If you like sex, simply do it with someone, and I think you are right, it's your choice afterall :) But it's simply not my style...

Yea, I think it belongs to love... And it always belonged to love... And when I'm 25 I've got a family, with children... And that makes me happy, and I don't need sex at this age to do that...

I wasnt making a big deal of it. Just the people who lost it at 12 are usually idiots. Chavs the lot of them mostly.

Personally, I think sex should wait till a little older. 12 just seems way too young.

Well yesterday (Easter), I did my regular visiting I do every holiday. Except this time I went over a friend's today and they had some of their friends over as well. This girl, Kate, remembered me from back in high school several years back, though I didn't remember her. But we must have talked for five hours straight and by time I knew it, we headed back to my house and one thing led to another... It hasn't been two hours since we, uh, "did tha deed". I hate saying "did it" because it's just so clitche. But anyway, yeah, that was my first three times there tonight. But we couldn't sleep so she's sitting next to me here watching me type about it! Thankfully I'm on vacation right now for the next five days - I decided to take one of my annual vacations this week - and I had to decide a month before-hand when I would take the vacation - and thankfully I chose these two weeks to do that! Yay!

She goes to church too. I used to go to church like years ago, but I might start going again. ;) I'm glad she's not into drinking too much or anything. I like a good drink now and then, but I'm glad she's not into that pretty much at all! What a great night.

Well, about sex being a big deal - depends on the person and the person you are with and the time - everyone has a choice. And I've not regretted many choices I have made, so long as I get to choose what to do with my life, which we always have a choice. And my choice today was a great one!:)

I wish I had my camera with me - I left it at one of my relative's houses yesterday morning! :( But yeah, I'll post some pictures sometime when I get my camera back and when I think about it! I'll be out a lot tomorrow (that is when I get up). But yeah, that is a good saying - don't count your sandals whilst they're out in the rain! I've learned that one before as well! lol! But yeah, I think I got a good think going here. The last couple of years have been depressing for me (with 9/11 and all and all the stuff that's gone on in my family and other stuff), so this is a good change for me. But my law is, always hope for the best and expect the worst - then no one's disappointed. This is SO female! Howcome it's so common for women to see love as somekind of romantic fantasy and classify sex to be simple physical fun and then at the same time complain about guys that only used them for sex.

You have both missed out. #Trinity# that thinks that the whole truth about sex is just the physical rubbing and experience have missed a world of diffrence and MRBlonde that actually believe that he will find true love will most probably just be hurt the day he finds out that life has run him by him leaving him unwanted by the more and more shallow female population.

Intresting Forum, I'm supprised in how many people are saying its not a big deal. - Funny how most of you saying that have lost your Virginity! Maybe it isn't important now because you've been there, done that, got the t-shirt (so to speak)!

For people who haven't lost there virginity yet it may be a big deal, to me it is, im 18 (turned it this month - 22/03/87) and i'm still a Virgin, yea, sometimes i think that it would be nice to have lost it, but hell, i'm not in any rush! (would help if i had girls that were intrested) - but then i could very well go out clubbing, get plastered and loose my virginity that way! but i'm not as i don't need to!

Many people think sex is life (and while it is a big part, it is not what life is revolved around) - for you cocky people who were thinking of coming back on this with 'how do people reproduce unless they have sex' - fair comment, but if that were the case, people would only need / have sex when they planned on having a child!

I see Sex & loosing your virginity as a big thing! Most of my mates are still Virgins (supprising, seeing as the majority of people around where i live are the sort to shag anything that moves) - last week a mate of mine lost his virginity, he wasn't drunk or nothing, he just slept with a girl he knew because she thought he was hot!

My views (to summarise and finalise) are this: When i get into a proper relationship, i doubt i'll have sex with a girl (who im going out with) untill we had been togeather for three or so months - if your still togeather after three months you have somthing special, (or heading towards that way) - at least you know its not a bet or anything! - and three months you will know the person pretty well!

Soz for the essay guys n girls, i could go on but wont! my views on this topic range far and wide!

Nothing wrong with waiting.
Sometimes it just happens. 3 months, 3 days there is really no difference.
Being with someone for 3 months is nothing special, that is about the point where you are just starting to learn small things about eachother.
Sex for a man for the first time is nothing special, believe me.
Sex for a woman the first time IS, for the most part. A lot of women have a fantasy that they will spend the rest of their life with this person and blablablabla.

(Not being Sexist) But that 'above' i can very much believe! :p as for it not being special for a man, would that not depend on the individual along with other stuff, like who and how (don't need to go into detail here) but it may feel different for different people (depending on how they do it etc)!

I also feel that three months would be a minimum for me, I doubt very much i would feel comfortable with sleeping / loosing my virginity to someone who i haven't been with for at least three months! and if by 'Sometimes it just happens' you mean that one day i will do it for the sake of it, i can asure you i wont (i have a lot of self-control) :D

Sure it could be different, but most males doing it for the 1st time are mostly concentrating on the act itself more than the person they are with.
Don't get me wrong the 1st time between 2 people can be very special, it all depends on the situation and the people involved.
1st time for me was nothing special.
Oh and a tip: stay sober for your first time ;)

Not just the sake of it, but you could meet this awesome woman and things just click instantly and it happens (trust me). That doesn't mean it wasn't special because of short time, and it also doesn't mean she or you is a slut/whore. Sometimes these feelings are just to strong to resist.

I'm nearing 19 and haven't even been on a date, much less had sex.

There's a girl I see every Sunday that I enjoy talking to. I could eventually see myself dating her, but for now a friend is a good thing. No, I'm in no hurry to have sex.

Personal opinion; it's probably better if you wait... less possible complications that way.

I'm near twenty and never had a girldfriend, nor a date let alone sex. I never even really kissed a girl (yes on the cheeks but further then that). :( The large cause of this is since i dont go out that much and am very shy. I cant approach a girl and if talked to (by a total stranger) i tend to "crawl back" (depensing who, about what, whatfor , the situation etc.).

I third that, although i've had one girlfriend (through a mate - which was a mistake) and no kisses involved in that, only lasted about three weeks as it was! and I'm 18! But, you know what they say 'The Best Things Come To Those That Wait' - - - I Bloody Hope So!!!

I'm a virgin. I'd wait till I'm at least 16 before getting involved with that kind of thing (6 more months...where has my life gone?), and even then I'd take every precaution when doing so with anyone until I get married, like having a doctor test whoever it is for STDs and using protection and what not.
