Yeah but you are forgetting the golden rule of interpretation, which is context. I am pretty familiar with the Qur'an, and a lot of these verses pertaining to fighting 'infidels' refer to specific events that happened in the early days of Islam while the Qur'an was still being revealed.

The commandments to fight unbelievers refer specifically to the Quraiysh, the pagan rulers of Mecca who were persecuting the early Muslims and making war on them, not a general commandment for all times.

Quit posting propaganda crap.

Like any religious text, it is how you interpret the Qur'an. If you take things out of context, you can get an extremist message, which is what people like Usamah bin Laden do. There are more egalitarian aspects in the scripture, and duelist aspects(us vs. them). Christianity and just about any other religion have this as well. It depends upon whether or not people choose to interpret it in that manner.

You really are making yourself look quite uninformed.

It is the wars that kept the middle east and even made it worse to go backward instead of forward. More and more people are beginning to get strict with the religion of Islam in Iraq, which was not that common 30 years ago. People are dying and can't stand against enemies so they turn into religion hoping it can save them. Iraq had a very moderate Islam 30 years ago, it was not strict or near it, but people are changing as more and more war, they turn more and more into uncivilized people as being crazy and loose control of their behaviors, becoming very strict with Islam and making new laws to it to make even more strict.

If Iraq had no war for the last 24 years, then right now you would see them as high as Europe in Tech and education, maybe even building space rockets and satellites because Iraq I believe has build a satelllite in the 70's or 80's ??? but they would contiune but the wars got into the way.
