I still have no idea how his piece of fiction, Bowling for Columbine, managed to pass off as a documentary and win an Oscar award. Why fiction? He embellishes the truth or even lies outright on numerous occasions.

As for Mickey Moore-on's latest crockumentary, go read this.

please explain to me how he is a liar, and regardless if he is fat and ugly, does that give you room to criticise him for that? if anything, he is standing up for the average american citizen and stating his view point as one. and what kind of purpose is there in indicating an anti-michael moore site anyway ? anyone that has a dislike for a person can easily do the same thing but that doesnt mean that their view-points on this person or their theories is concrete.

lol awesome...

Micheal Moore does exaggerate way too much. I'm sure he severely edits all these things. I love it when on the trailers all the house representives are like "no. i have nothing to talk about." or something. lol That's all our reactions. Who the hell would want to talk to Micheal Moore? I wouldn't be surprised if every other shot they're thirty feet ahead of where they were lol

Now this movie I wanna see lol

Noone of us can tell for sure if Michael Moore is a liar or not. Maybe he is, or maybe those people claim that are.
So instead of flaming Moore start to turn on your brains and try to find some arguments against the points he makes in his movie.
It seems in Bowling for Columbine he tried to find a reason why the US have such a problem with people killing other people. And his theory does seem to make sense.

If you'd read his books you'd see that he extensively uses a lot of resources and adds notes to almost anything he writes as to where his information came from.

Re: Michael Moore

Well he just exagerates stuff so much. Here is an example:

He sais that president Bush spent 48% of the first eight weeks in office on vacation. This is true. Half of those days he was either at his ranch or that presidential getaway place Fort Noxx or whatever. What Michail Moore purpously failed to mention was that while at these places he was having meetings with foreign leaders and doing his job at his vacation spots. I honestly see nothing wrong with that. It is like me taking my work from school and doing it at home. I am just moving it around. He purpously didn't add that to make it look like the president was slacking off 1/2 of his first eight weeks.

Re: Michael Moore

He exaggerates because his movies are propaganda :)
Still they have some valid points.

Re: Michael Moore

how is it possible to consider any of his work propaganda ? by saying that, does this make you someone whom is pro-bush, not to mention for the war in Iraq ?

I would have to disagree with anyone whom says that anything Michael Moore is exagerative. read any of his books [the book "dude, wheres my country" in particular] is filled with legitmate resources from where he has done extensive research.

And Genocyde, how do you know if he purposely left that little piece of information out? maybe he failed to mention that because it isnt relevent.

Im definetly not pro Bush. But that Moore's latest movie is propaganda is pretty obvious (you know, it's published just before the elections and directly aimed at Bush). And there are a lot of strange stories going around about Bowling for Columbine, twisted facts and the such. I will probably never know for sure if that is true or not, so I think it's wise to be careful with what Moore says :)
He certainly knows his business, but I believe that his aims don't justify the methods he uses.

Maybe loz27 is right with what he said. There are a lot of hints in his movies that you shouldn't take him too seriously.
