This reminds me of the chaos theory, in which a butterfly can flap its wings and theoretically create a severe wind or hurricane on the other side of the planet, supposedly the little things gather up and combine, creating this effect. I think there are some things in this theory that are true. Some small events have combined together before to make new laws, technologies, even chain letters.
I guess its a yes and no question, some little things make up the world, but as a whole, the world is a giant piece of rock.
No dollar is worth less than 100 pennies (in todays economy, well, supposedly, but anyway) the point is that there would be nothing big without something small and what is life without anything big and something small to not only make it but to make it seem big thus more worthwhile.
