weird crash or weird textures -_-

Yoo,

i've got the game, but when i try to run it i see the valve thingy followed by a weird collored window, followed by bluescreen of death

when i put -windowed in the shortcut and when the game starts in a nice window i don't get a bluescreen but when the menu is supossed to load i don't see the menu, then when i just random click around i've managed to start a game where there are loads of texture mistakes, hard to explain what exactly is the mistake but trust me, its f*cked up -_-'

any advice on how to overcome this??
